digging this up again, but would be needing assistance again. Have come across a 6g72 in a fairly reasonable price. the setup includes the engine and the gearbox with the 4x4 transfer case, however it does not have the original wiring and ecu. will be heading over the weekend to check it out, any tips what should one look for/at while checking an idle engine - the 6g72.
Also, what average would it give in the 1st gen SWB in city on a light foot.
Lastly, would it be possible to source an ecu from bilal gunj or any such place along with the wiring which would run without any issues if the swap is done properly?
is it a straight up/bolt on fit to the gen 1 swb? been doing some stalking on past threads since morning and so far sounds like it is a direct fit.
Im concerned with the no wiring and ecu with the engine, have had a friend who had a fried ecu and it took months and getting an ecu from abroad to get the car running again.
again, major concern is the fuel average.
