hi guys my car doesnot start after cylinder head swaping i cheaked the timing its on the right position what else can i cheak and correct please im having a headache now
have you checked the electricals of vehicle for ignition
@rajaatta @dani_kk @SER_GTR
yes i do have a spark and feul
check all the sensors for connection (cam/crank ) and recheck timing marks ....
it could just be a bad sensor/broken sensor or bad connection to sensor also
i cheaked the sensors they are working
How did you check?
What are you missing that is preventing start. Do you have fuel? Spark? Correct timing? Good compression?
That's really strange, that fuel spark is present but not firing up.
Looks like compression is bad... Open plugs spray some oil on Pistons. And then reinstall plugs. If it fires up. Straight away go to the engine guy replace engine. Since it would be bad compression.
Or wrong timingBent valves etc.
yes my guess is its wrong timing as if the engine was fine before the change and the mechanice also cheaked the valves as there is no bent valve
thanks but we also tried the oil in the spark plug hole.
if timing is wrong on that engine, the valves will bend. when the bend happens - the engine is packed up.
meaning
mechanic checked head and it was goodmecahnic installed head and timed engine wrong - valves are bent now
btw - how did you check the sensors?
also the engine has good compression can a wrong valve timing cause a no start condition?
Yes wrong timing will prevent start.
Did you check compression before or after replacing head?
How did you or mechanic check the sensors?
i had a spare engine i changed them from the other one.
Sensors?
yes
what sensors do you think can prevent engine from starting
Crank and cam, they set the base timing to inject fuel and fire the coils
Without crank signal, nothing works at all.
Check if its working, its a hall effect unit in mitsubishi
how do i cheak the cam sensor
how can i cheak the cam and crank shaft sensor if its in a working conditon?
