Hi, apologies about the delay. I did not manage to take the photo. Its connected from angle that is hard to reach and wire colors are not readable as well. They all are black. To get reasonable photo, I'll have to remove the connector which can be accessed by removing intercooler inlet to throttle body.

I will try to take photo when I open up that area.

It's a vacuum pipe and it sure connects somewhere. I just found a picture of my engine, will check tomorrow on the engine to see where it actually connects to.

The question about correct vacuum pipes connections of Mini Pajero is often asked. So I added English description on the Vacuum Diagram, and here it is.

The vacuum pipe you asked, is connected to item #12 (Purge Valve) and then to Adsorber (Item # 11). I hope you can trace it down in your car. Here is the actual image of engine bay.

Even then it connects to the same two items,
Manifold ---> Purge Valve ----> Adsorber

Maybe somebody even removed those two items from your engine bay, you need to check.

I think it is removed. I swapped the engine and it didnt come with it.

Can anyone please guide me ? q k man mechanic k piche per gaya hun and he says that it was disconneced when we got the engine so let it be. I want that jo cheez manufacturer ne banai hai waise hi karun.but mje khud b curiosity hai k is ko connect kernay se ho ga kya?

This is for Evap system.
Evap actually saves fuel vapors from getting waste in atmosphere. By collecting them from the fuel tank inside the canister and through vacuum switch valve allowing it to enter inside the intake manifold at a certain time, being controlled by ecu.

It is related to emission control. There is always a vent in the fuel tank and fuel vapors escape from that vent. This adsorber (actually a charcoal canister) catches those vapors and yet keeps appropriate vent to the fuel tank. The trapped vapors are used by the engine again (through the pipe which is not connected in your car).

The actual process of vent, vapor trap, purge is little complicated though. You may like to read the following article and watch this YouTube video.

1) Some more reading.... (It is ADsorber, not ABsorber). Search "evap adsrober" and you will get the correct results.

2) I saw your video and it seems that some genius has removed the whole evap system (consisting of adsrober, purge valve, pipes, clamps etc..)

3) I opened up my evap system and took some pictures, hope these will clarify the things for you.

4) If you are in Rawalpindi / Islamabad, it would be easy to get all this stuff. Just PM me and I will send you few contacts.

This whole thing + Black plastic "T" (as in picture 3 left) is missing from your car.

I have shared link to Pajero Mini's service manual in 1st post of this thread. It's in Russian language, but you can easily translate any part of it using Google Translate app's camera option on mobile.

All recommended oils and spares are mentioned, you can find closest match locally to use.
