wiring wud be same ... just 660cc throttle body will be used instead of 1100cc rest all will be same
u also have to change both differentials front n rear which cost around 20k

always use orignal plugs n oil filters the cost more but ur engine will be happy
i use bosch plugs cost around 1400rs ( 4 plugs )
oil filter orignal 850rs

mini is a short shift that y it wont give the power u want i.e. the high speed ... for that u have to change the engine to pajero jr engine 1100cc and change the differentials ( rear n front ) then u will be on high speed ...

A1: if mini is 2wd then u have to install the whole 4wd system to make it 4x4 .. it wont be changed only with engine change

well prices varies from 300k - 400k round lite model ( 98 n before )
model after that above 400k

Thank you very much for your reply! The one I like (99 model) is currently way too expensive around 6 lakhs here on PakWheels. I was expecting 4.5-5 max. Not sure if the prices are going to come down, but I'll keep looking Thanks again.

Good day to every one!

just joined the place... quite interesting discussion around in here and informative too... just bought a pajero mini 95/Turbo/Manual 5Fwd, and for the love of the game. Its hardly been a month yet and here i was with a broken water body supposedly due to an improper bolt fix to the generator... and whats more, The oil down the chamber (Around the drain outlet) now is leaking slowly and slowly and drips out as it accelerates. I checked with a mechanic and he suggests pulling the whole engine out so the sump can be replaced (2000 Rs in all)... do you think its worh the effort, or you suggest any alternatives?

I'd appreciate your help in here (H)

I broke my pistons twice that means i changed my engine twice now i installed 1100cc engine yesterday. What will be the cost of differentials? in rwp/isb

@hamza and @rakaz dear this mini pajero is really mess if it leaks .. mine 2002 was leaking from the chamber where the oil filter is placed and also from power staring rode . so i every day clean the floor of my home car porch and refills the power steering oil in the hood .. and the best mechanic of Pajero mini , i placed his cell number for you guys becuase he have all the parts and differential , engines 660cc and 1100cc etc (0334 5358100) is dening to repair it because it's useless . first pull the engine out open it and refit it's a hell of job .. and the power steering matter he asked me to bring it to power steering experts in Guwalmandi rawalpindi.
So the better option is to replace the engine into 1100cc which cost without differential 35k.
All in all , i was really disappointed with this Mini pajero .. i was a big fan of this car but now am not .. because it's a fuel guzzler and lot of trips to mechanic.
I suggest you guys to contact the above mention number and fix your car by your desired wish.
Buy the way i sold my mini just a couple of weeks to a friend who insisted me to sale otherwise i was still in love with my MINI.

umm dont know bro .. havnt gone through to all this .. i thing taking out the engine n fitting it back its a mess ... but as far as work is concerned it will be the best way to do it ... but still varies questions r there.. wht if work is done n fit it back n still having issues then wht u will do then ...

Thanks to you sir, Travellnghell and alizzz... I really appreciate your input in here... as for the leakage, got the oil drained out, and them some magic + silicone solution seems to be holding up for now...

another question here... it'd be great if someone could post a link to the internal fuse box labelled so that it could make sense... as for now, i have no idea as to most of their connections... any help?

Bro, keeping in mind that this SUV is a MINI Pajero, You can't compare it with Pajero 2800cc. This ride is meant for short trips like for Murree, Pirsohawa etc Hilly places. We guys try to compare it with Pajero's and LC's as we're sitting in Pajero afterall but this is not the case. If you drive this car with love and car I bet this car wont bother you EVER.
I changed my engine to 1100cc for 35k from saddar and will change the differential in a couple of days that will cost 20k from IJP road. I still love this car and I dont like the local cars here after sitting in this lil monster.

Hi all, I live in Cambodia, glad to find and joint the club today.
I have a pajero mini VR-II 1994. I'm facing with automatic transmission problem since i bought the car. the problem is that sometime when i start the car, it seem to stay on the 3rd gear and not shift to 1st gear. I took the car to many mechanics here and they try to check and replace the AT fluid but still can't help, the mechanics here dont have any clue about this.
I notice that whenever that problem happens, if i stop the car and restart it again, after sometime it shift to 1st gear and it starts to shift properly for the whole drive. that is the only thing I can do now to deal with it.
Anyone ever faced with the same problem or know what should be the cause? Appreciate so much if you can give some clue as i love this car and dont want to sale it out.

well u can check the gear computer ... mey be it get solve after replacing it or u mite have to change the whole gear : )
