Assalamoalikum,

Hello everyone and ali bhai do you remember me ? I am the same guy who had trouble with Mini Pajero pipe configuration and I also called you to show me your pipes setting. Now I have another trouble with my mini, well first of all I tell you that I have swapped the 660CC mini engine with 1100 Junior engine and it was running nicely but an unfortunate thing happened some days ago a rat find a place to hide inside the engine room of my car when it was parked in garage, the worst part is he ate computer wires and made them short circuit, the self of my jeep started automatically due to short circuit and it took me like 1 - 2 minutes to actually understand what's happening, when I found computer wires shorting with each other I disconnected them and it stopped the self then I reconnected the wires with proper color codes and tried to start the jeep but now it does not start :(( now. No mechanic is understanding what's the fault, it simply does not start even after properly connecting the wires, it start but then switch off. Some guys are saying that computer is gone faulty due to short circuit but I have no idea where to get the computer checked and kindly tell me the price of new computer.

Please help me out brothers I am crying watching my mini standing like a dead jeep due to that cursed rat.

When i discussed this problem with Pajero Mini specialist on IJP road, Islamabad he said you need to change the differentials(rear only @ Rs. 10,000). When I asked that after changing the differential will it cross 100kmph, he said it will but your speedometer will not be showing exact reading (instead it will show around 20kmph less) and for that you need to change its "four wheela" which will cost another Rs. 4000. Can anybody please tell me

1. What is this four wheela?
2. Is this component need to be changed?
3. Will there be any remarkable difference after changing the differential?

I have manual 1100cc Pajero and its rpm at 60 is 3000 and 70 at 3500 rpm. He told me that after changing BOTH the differentials it will have 3000 rpm at 90km/h. You need to change BOTH the differential or your 4x4 gear wont work, Both will cost 20,000. He however didn't mention 4x4 wheela (I dont know what it is) and 20 km/h less speed.

Helo, the 85km/h @5000rpm is normal it is because the ratio of the pinion and ringer of the Mini's diff is set for low speed but good in acceleration and off-roading. Bear in mind that if you change the diff, you would loose acceleration and it's good off roading capabilities. but the good thing is, aside from having a higher top speed, your fuel consumption will also drop significantly. It's a good thing that diff's are available in your country.

I am having a hard time finding diff's that would fit my mini here in our country. I'm not really an off-road, i just like its looks.

Anyways, I do have a question for Ali and to everyone, your response will be highly appreciated. If I remove the front axle and prop shaft, would it give me more mileage in actual situations?? it is suppose to be effective theoretically, but i would like to hear it from someone with an actual experience. Thank You. Also, I would appreciate it if you could help me find a diff for my mini and can send it to me. I think my mini's ratio is 7/46, i would like a hi-speed one. Thanks.

ok herez an issue. i bought a pajero mini 2 weeks ago. on stock it was 660cc 20v but the seller changed its engine into 1100 efi. the transmission it now has is of 660cc pajero mini i.e. 3 gears forward (auto trans) and the pick of the car is exceptionally epic! but the issue is that it asks for another gear. at the speed of 80-90 it feels like engine will blow any at moment, cuz of the roar it produces. now what do you suggest that what can i do - either convert it into a 5 speed manual , or put its own 4 speed auto transmission or the other option is of what the desi mechanics told me of i.e. hissay ka kaam kerwa lo. So EXPERTS PLZ pour in some knowledge into the situation cuz im at a halt now.

I am considering a pajero mini....what about maintanence? i came across a 1997 mini which had a junior 1100cc engine plus it was converted from auto to manual..would these modifications make the pajero unreliable mechanically? are the parts available readily?
