hello, I am really looking for a differential carrier but couldn't find one. I would like to know what is the ratio of the Pinion and ringer? How many teeths the rear axle spline has and its diameter? and from what other cars having a differential that would fit in my pajero mini.

I have a Pajero Mini 1995 with automatic transmission. I recently swapped its engine with Pajero Junior's (1100 cc) engine. Now the problem i am facing is the same as told by many in previous posts that it does not go beyond the speed of about 85 Kmph (@about 5000RPM). When i discussed this problem with Pajero Mini specialist on IJP road, Islamabad he said you need to change the differentials(rear only @ Rs. 10,000). When I asked that after changing the differential will it cross 100kmph, he said it will but your speedometer will not be showing exact reading (instead it will show around 20kmph less) and for that you need to change its "four wheela" which will cost another Rs. 4000. Can anybody please tell me

1. What is this four wheela?
2. Is this component need to be changed?
3. Will there be any remarkable difference after changing the differential?

well u have to change both differential which cost 23000rs excluding travelling expense which cost around 1500rs through deawoo

maintanence is okay not bad but its last long ... yeah i wont be issue but u have to change the differenctials if they are not changed .. parts available easily for 98 model for above that i.e. 99 n above ractangular light crystal parts are abit hard to find

i have quoted above that its available for 23000rs except the transportation charges .. both rear n front differentials

pinion have 11 teeths
ringer i dont remember but its written sb - 567 on it ( u can check page 41 for pics )

dont have knowledge of which other car differential will fit .. all i knw is that 1100cc pajero jr fits

can anyone tell me about any good workshop in Lahore for Mini's ?? The engine or maybe its the turbo, makes a whistling sound when the rpm revs up from 3 to 4. Even sometimes from 2 to 4, there is no fix spot. its a 1999 660cc turbo auto Pajero Mini.
Otherwise the rest is all good. MashaAllah all is well for the rest of it. Bus yahi problem aara hai, its a loud whlistling sound, thori car chalti rahay to theek bhi ho jaati hai, kabhi nahin bhi hoti.
@alizzz79 - bro i would like your opinion on it.
+ ive just bought it a couple of months ago so i dont know any good mechanic in Lahore, if anyone can help me with that. Im using it on Petrol.

The sound is of Turbo. Nothing wrong with it, I am touring on a mini from past 1 year, mine is 2001 Auto 660 cc intercooler, went till Gilgit, Skardu last summers and just came back from Shoogran and Naran last sunday with this sound on all the time.:)

about my other question. Lahore mein acha mechanic mini pajero ka?? kabhi zaroorat he per jaati hai.. i dont know any mini mechanics here.
Oh and what about the Plugs? I use these 4tip Bosch plugs in my kia spectra, can i use the same ones in Mini as well or should i stick to the normal single tip ones?? which ones do u use Ali bro?

umm dont know abt mechanic over there bro ... i use bosch plugs single tip made in germany costing 1200 - 1600rs for 4 plugs .... not satisfied with ngk .. i have splitfire plugs which i used for around a week then i changed my engine ... if u want them i can sell it too

salam i have mini 97 / 2006 manual non turbo it has heat up issue with ac on petrol as well as cng. i got radiator changed with direct fan , thermostat is removed , if ac is on and car not running temp guage comes down to below 1/4th level i guess radiator is ok but when car is running guage goes up beyond 3/4 level. i got it computerised scan but no fault detected. one mechanic says its due to weak gasket another says tepid need cleaning and setting .i wonder that why on earth when engine is running with ac on and car is still for hours it does not get hot but only when it is runing it heats up .also when guage goes beyond half ac compressor shuts down not trip and only starts again when car cools down and guage comes below half can anybody help thanks

A: well every engine does the same it stops when its get too hot

ideal expense for solution

a: There are various reasons behind it .. May be the radiator is weak .. May be the radiator is choke ? There mite be a need to change the gas kit too as it gets weak too

thanx for ur advise but please tell me how do we know that gaskit is weak does radiator show bubbles mine does not i changed radiator 2 weeks back and is it worth changing gaskit i heard that almost half engine opens to change it and is time consuming almost 2 days to change gaskit also tell me where to find good gaskit in karachi i heard that korean one is available for aroun rs 4ooo thanks again

alizzz, hello agen. I need your expert advise. I have non turbo 660cc, it originally had a 6.57 diff ratio, luckily, I found a 3.88 that directly fits to its carrier without any alterations. I am satisfied with its speed from 1st to 4th gear, but on the 5th gear no matter how much I push the pedal, it doesn't seem to react anymore. The estimated speed when in 5th gear is around 70km/h at 2000rpm, estimated speed since the speedometer only reads 40km/h because of the diff change.

What do you think is the problem, is it the engine or a tune-up issues. Im thinking that its the fuel filter, maybe it doesn't get enough fuel. Pls enlighten me on this.

Note: I didn't change the engine.

well i dont knw much abt gaskit but if u have changed the radiator and even after that u have issue so u have to change it .. in karachi its very hot that y u need to change it .. otherwise when its not hot then u will have no issue with it ....

well i told ya before .. i send u to my mechanic frm where i get my mini work done .. they will take a day ( from morning till evening ) and ur work will be done .. total cost will be around 4500rs its includes gaskit + labour
