Thanks for reply . Realy i enjoyed this trip , over all mini full fit in offroding no issues araised it vgood in offroading 12 km/ltr on petrol ...... .......Realy mini pajero is Great Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

Hi,

This is Amin from Lahore. I have booked a new Alto VXR (without CNG) and I need another car for my family. However, I have a budget of 380-400K max. In this amount, I can otherwise get a reasonable Mehran.

The "must have" I need in this 2nd car are:

Affordability (Petrol & CNG)
Mechanically Durable (as I cant afford to take this car every now and then to workshop)
Comfort
A good AC

I dont give a damn about leg space etc but I need a car in reasonably good shape and the one that complements my new Alto.

Now, all buddies over here please suggest should I go for a new model Mehran, or Mini Pajero. Your advice is really going to make a difference.

Moreover, please let me know whether Pajero Mini has 2 seats or 4 (I know its 3 door but still confused about number of seats).

Well i guess you should go for the Mini as it has got AC and some other useful features which lacks alot in Mehran and i guess the AC in Mehran does not works prperly due to soe design defectin the radiator area,one of my cousin who has studied mechanical engineering has boguht a mehran and was tellign me the reason why he did not bought the AC one,well i would recommend you to buy the Mini and it has got 4 seats,actually there are several models of the mini,it depends upon which one you want,there are also models whcih have the Turbo as well,which are great if youw ant to install the CNG.In this thread i ahve read about the Turbo being compliemnting in accordance of using the cng,it helps in gaining the speed.

Thanks a lot for the info. Well dear, I drove a Mini Pajero today and was shocked to see that in 5th gear on Petrol, it could not exceed 85, and the engine was like as it was going to explode.

Initially, I was very much interested to buy Mini Pajero but if such is a universal flaw, I am compelled to think otherwise...

Well fellows, suppose I buy a Pajero Mini 660cc for 400K, replace its engine and differential with that of Potohar.

Would it work ok?
What would be the cost?
If it works good, can CNG be installed on it?

Well if that is so than i don't knwo how the mini wa able to hold on in with its felow Big 4x4 Jeeps and did not surrendered i guess the mini which you drove needed a engine haul, here is a link in which a group of people from karachi went to an animal park and did some 4x4 hiking

Dear, aminshah if you going to buy mini 660cc and replace its engine & differential with potohar............ i say this is wrong thinking Please replace with only mini junior 1100cc engine & differential its fix by bolt to bolt No Alterations with body No jugar ……....... Salam ali, i have mini 97 manual non turbo 660 cng and i am planning to change engine to 1100 cc kindly tell me from which dealer in shershah shall i buy. How much it would cost in karachi and besides engine do i have to change gear box or differential ? What amount would mechanic charge for labor and do u recommend any good mechanic ? These engine have coils/cables for spark plug ?or i have to buy seperately because mine are faulty. Thanks

W.salam bro .. u wud get 1100cc engine for 40000rs and if u give ur engine in against then less 5000rs, labour cost engine oil etc cost around 10000rs, u dont have to change the gear box current one will work no issue, but yesh u have to change the differential which are currently not available in karachi u have get it arranged .. if u want me to get it arranged then it will cost u 27000rs in which u have give ur differentials in against, it will have everything u dont have to buy anything

well 660cc is short shift and 1100cc is long shift that y it have to be changed .. from shershah ... when u want to let me know we get it done

drive a mini which is proper tuned and maintained then u know that mini is .. i have mini manual and i have done 140 on petrol in it
