Dear All,

Asalamoalaikum!

I have a 96 pajero mini auto turbo in islamabad. it has 3 gear transmission. The problem is that in the morning when it is cold the gear does not shift. the car remains in 3rd gear and won't shift. when the temperature climbs to normal it starts to shift properly. Is this normal in winters? any help on this is welcome.

When cold....If i put it in L it goes to the 1st gear but in 2 it goes from 1st to 3rd gear. in D it remains in 3rd gear.

Hi guys...i hav Pajero Mini 1996 model DOHC 20 Valve Intercooler Turbo on Petrol...the problem is the RPMs doesnt stop at 1 exact position.....sumtimes they increase by themselve n sumtimes they decrease to a limit wen i press the clutch the engine stops....can anybody give me sum idea....no mechanic seems to understand the problem....Plzz replyy...REGARDS

I think the throttle body of ur mini needs cleaning. This will solve the issue of stability of RPM. The other problem of stopping of engine while the clutch is pressed is not clear, but may be resolved after u get the throttle cleaned.

AoA all, i have recently bought pajero mini non turbo 95 model in red color.
The drive is bumpy but the shocks when pressed gives the required jump. Can anybody comment is the bumpy drive normal?

i have one small question plz help me fellows,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
my car color is gray (dark gray,gun matelik type) but on book it is written "blue"
under-----> "type of body and color JEEP/BLUE"
(isb no.)

the book is original and so is the body interior/exterior both....
does any body else have this type of experience specially in isb.

Dear firstly if u have switched from a car to a jeep then u will feel the jumps / bumps more than normal. secondly if tyre pressure on the stock tyres of mini is more than 26psi then it gives u more bumps. if ur mini has bigger tyres than the stock ones then u should keep the air pressure at 22 to 23 psi. Thirdly have a check up of ur shocks at the end.

I don't remember seeing any knob to switch between 2wd or 4wd. Is there a chance of buying a non 4wd pajero mini?
What are the things that i will need to check before i buy this car?
There are problem with the air con panel, cant adjust position, air con not cold, is there a place which i am able to buy dashboard etc to replace the old one?
I like this car since 10 yrs ago and now finally gotten a chance to lay my hand on one.. and i realized i dont know much about this car.. anyone able to hook me up with a 1100cc engine with differentials and transmission? (shipping to my country)

Salam Everyone,

I have a question for those who have driven the 4 Speed Auto version of this car (3 Speed + Over drive). I wanted to know ke at what speed does your car shift gears if you keep a real lite foot on the padel??

My transmission has lots of problem (gears slipping, stupid sounds coming in Parking mode etc) but what bothers me the most is the shifting speed.

It shifts to second gear on 20 KM/h (at 3500 RPM) and to third at 45 KM/h (at 4500 RPM) which is very annoying. I am planning to replace the transmission but am wondering if this will make the gears shift a little earlier? I did however encounter a few times when it shifts to second on 10KM/h and to third on 30 and to 4th (OD) on 45 which is what I'd like it to do all the time.

Please enlighten me.

have you got the front differentials changed too? I tried to get both the differentials changed but now i am unable to use 4wheel. i suspect the person did not give me correct front differentials. do u know the number on front differentials for 1100 cc ?

I was also having this problem with auto one. the issue is actually with the computer/sesor kit inside the jeep. i actually put that box in front of the heater for winters or set the heater blow towards feet and would switch on the heater in winters and issue was temporarily resolved. finally i got the engine and this computer changed to 1100 cc.

Dear Brothers,
I have nini pajero, model 96, 660cc non turbo. it runs good on petrol and cng. but i am using it only on petrol. its fuel average is also very good if speed is kept around 70km/h.
the only problem i have is its auto choke. when i start the car the rpm shows about 500 and it is difficult to run the car, after it warms up in 10-20 minutes the rpm goes to 1200 or so. then it stays constant. I dont know what happened. may be some vacuum pipe is misfitted or what.
Any body please guide me and propose a solution. also please send a clear picture of vacuum pipe connections if possible.
