Hello guys... i have a mini pajero 1995 manual transmission non turbo 660. This car is really underpowered. I installed Cng bexause patrol mileage was so bad. My problem is it just makes sound and doesn't accelarate as much as it shud. Max speed i have done on it was 120kph on patrol and 115 on Cng. Plus i dont like the suspension of this car. Is there something i can do?
1.do u guys recommend 1100cc junior engine?
2.how much will it cost? Net cost including labor and other expenses.
3.is it possible to increase the pick in the 660 engine. Like my mira 660cc is as good as a 1000cc car.
4. Can the suspension of this car be modified? Like suspension in my mira and corolla are awesome.

You can check mine and Ali Bhai's earlier posts for 1100cc conversion ... it is not simple and cheap but wort doing.

As I mentioned I did the swap about a month ago and then I really had to put few things on reborn that i own ..... some will not agree but some how I like my 95 mini more than my almost new reborn .... anyways after the swap it solved the power issue (on both CNG and petrol) but the rpm was too high on even 50 kph .... on @ali Bhai recommendation went to change the differential (from 660cc one to 1100cc) a few days ago .... The cost was 14K for rear differential only and both front and rear for 20K ... didnt really needed 4x4 right now so changed rear only and remove the driving shaft to prevent damage to front due to difference in front and rear differentials

Actually what makes the difference is the spindle in inside the differential .... The driving shaft from engine rotates the spindle which has gears that rotates the rotary wheel type gear which is then connect to axel rotating the tyre eventually.

The 660cc differential spindle has 7 gears to rotate the wheel while 1100cc spindle has 11 gears which means that per rotation of driving shaft (engine rpm) you get more revolutions on the wheel .... here are pics of the spindles I am talking about

also changes this tension bar on the rear suspension as the actual was broken ... cost 800Rs ,... (All prices valid at shoba bazar peshawar only :)).

The total conversion cost for myself was about 54K (engine + electricals + gear CPU + installation + Differential oils etc) ...

I have been following thread and getting knowledgeable facts regarding Mini Pajero but i am still unable to make mine's pajero better than b4.. shall appreciate if u cn guide.

Mine is Mitsubishi Mini Pajero [94model]-Auto Transmission, Non TUrbo, 600cc.
Problem: Car does not gets pick as u give race .. very slowly it gets accelerated
Mechanics Solution: All the mechanics suggested to change gear box; as per their view it was not shifting gears properly.
What i did: I changed the gear box from Bilal GUnj two times and problem remains the same ....
Please let me clear that its not on 4X4 ...em driving on 2h . IT doesnot get pik as u give race.
Engine is perfectly ok as per mechanics .. no smoke, no issues.
GUIDE if any of the friends can???

Yes it is gear computer problem ..... lift the rear tire and then accelerate and check if it does shifting (it jerks upon shift) ... If it doesnt which I think it wont then change the gear computer (located on the door side of passenger seat. Mine had same problem after engine swap .... changed the computer and now it works fine .... also you need to good a good electrician for that

Thanx for the diagnostics...... this gear computer card in short in the market (bilal gunj lahore). Is there any source from where we can get this part- any mitsubishi official spare parts shop or any way to import that part??? I really want this part to enjoy my ride.

Well it is hard to find .... when I was looking for it I found only one at Shoba bazar peshawar ... and that too at very high price.... he was asking 5000 for it and I made a deal by giving mine and 2500 rs at the end.

Let me share with you the strange thing my mini pajero did in recent days, my pajero automatically started shifting gears and gained all the required pick which i was deprived of. It does happen only two times in past week. Afterwards it is again the same, with very low pick and actually car remains in 3rd gear with no shifting. Now em confused that what is the real problem? Is the gear computer card is not working properly or there is some electricity supply problem? I have managed to find that Dabbi "Gear Computer Card" which a workshop at Mintgomery Road Lhr is giving at a very high price of Rs. 10,000/-. PLEASE GUIDE PAJEROO GURUUUS... especially Mr. Ali

hi people, i have just bought a pajero mini from japan, i will receive the jeep at Dar Es Salaam, and have to drive it 2400km to Zim where i live. just want to know if the pajero mini is capable of such a long journey considering that is a second hand vehicle. your opinion will be greatly appreciated
