I wish to do this with the rear gate of my MK1. Can anyone guide where such meta sheet can be obtained? Or something close.

Aluminium sheets they are. Commonly found in markets around railway station and further.

Need a car for the family. Apparently the pajero is not cost effwctive at that. I personally want a 3 Door 2.5 but either goes.

Haroon Tarar spoke very highly of a green Gen 1 in Gujrat. I couldn't check it. Might give it a try. Something like 650K

well its not heavy on maintenance as compare to Land Cruiser, if that is wat you asking.... Pajero Parts way cheaper so hence it is easy & cheaper to maintain, engine wise 2.5 TDi is easy to maintain as compare to 2.8 TDi

Dear friends, on my way to work this morning, I felt my MK1 sway a little sidewards on curves while speeding in the range of 80-90 kmph. When I reached office, my colleague pointed the left passenger side wheel to be bent outward from below and inward into the wheel arch, almost 10 degrees from center When inspected, the differential tube had ripped open from left side. Apparently it was welded before and the welding has given in.

My mechanic is looking for a shell without any other part as the gears and other items in the differential are intact. Suggestions please!!!

So i reckon its rear tube.... Well i had the same exact case in Summer 2013, when we were coming back from Kumrat valley with IJC group, our tube broke on our way back.... from same side

Welll the best option Find a shell its i thnk 52" or may be 50" so many sizes came in pajero..... Mine was 52", so the best solution is replace it, there is no other way..... even if you weld it it wont last long, as the rear tube has so much as compare to front one....
