Its definitely trubo and my suggestion get a tf035 turbo cartridge and use ur original housing i hv spent alot of money on turbos getting chinese is better than kabli and army is using all chinese turbos in there vehicles. Turbo repair kits dont work so stay away
Also install boost gauge so u should know what ur turbo is doing.
What was ur average speed in that 1000km sprint
Rest if u want more torque and power get a straight piping and see ur vehicle fly

Bhai g remove both silencer from back and put 2.5 inch staright metal pipe instead

Exhaust modification (free flow exhaust) so that cylinders can exhaust completely and can be filled with more air and fuel

I am in the process of buying a Mitsubishi Pajero 1995 model. I have seen two options readily available in the market, 2.8 diesel and V6 3000 petrol. Since my driving will be mostly in karachi city only, therefore i would like brothers who own a pajero to give me a suggestion/opinion on which one to opt keeping in view your own experience of handling this jeep (i.e consumption, mileage, maintenance). As per my calculation i drive a max of 960-1000 km a month. This is the first time i am going to be buying an SUV. So im switching from a Vitz 2005 to Pajero.
Also, if some one is interested in selling his own vehicle then i would request them to please provide me their contact detail.

For v6 u need to put in hi octane to run it fuel pump is expensive around 100k if faulty and u l get 4 to 5 km per liter otherwise no issues
Old school diesel is different fron petrol so if u are into speed diesel is a big no

Thank you very much for the candid response. Im not much of a speed enthusiast. I'd like to utilize my pajero more for office coming and going and family use age.
If V6 give 4-5km then is there a particular type of v6 engine that one should look for that would be already installed in the vehicle and give good performance? as i will prefer driving a petrol with a mix of hi octane and petrol or at times only petrol.
Secondly, would you be having any idea on the consumption of 2.8 Diesel?
Also, which engine is convenient in maintenance? i dont have any experience with a Diesel engine till now but i am not reluctance towards trying one. Still would like to keep in mind the pocket size as well.

Get a non gdi version n u will be ok

I have a 2.8 TD (1994) & get between 7.5 - 8.5 Km/L average out of it. If you are opting for a petrol - stick with a non GDi. Diesel doesnt require any additional maintenance. just make sure you do regular oils and filter change.

Thanks for the responses.
I am looking for a Mitsubishi Pajero 1995-98 5-door, in good shape, specially for family and long term use. Preferably with original body & original engine, as body swap wont be an issue if the car is in a mint condition (both interior & exterior). Although as stated in earlier thread Im giving preference to a petrol engine (non GDI), but would still like to see a diesel one too (considering the vehicle's condition is well maintained). In case the vehicle is in a deteriorated condition then i would like to still have a look at it. I'll consider it for a body swap on my own. As a reference has suggested it is legal & can do this job for me, keeping in view all legal formalities are met. If anyone can give a lead even or keep an eye out as i am a genuine buyer. im not a dealer.

2.8 diesel can't be called a slow speeding ride ,, my swb 2.8 can blow any thing on road , 2000rmp can lead to 120km in a short span , imagine if riding in higher rpm's, it did not ask for nay maintenance other then oil and regular wear and tear, I am a happy and satisfied owner of MK2 pajero . Petrol engines are good too but not fuel efficient , diesel can give upto 10km litter if riding in the range of low rpm's like inbetween 2k to 3k rmps
