Depends on what problems you are facing, mostly enthusiasts can diagnose the possible causes. Just getting it checked that for mental satisfaction. Then you can take it to the Mitsubishi workshop in I-9, they have a coupon for which they charge 1500 Rs. And perform many services one of which is complete general and electric check up

AOA to all. I just got mitsubishi pajero io 1.8. Can anyone help me out on how to use 4wd with diff lock, as its lever has no visible option. Secondly theres option of 4hlc n 4Llc but when I move the lever to engage it it stops at just one position and shows indication of front wheels engaged not diff lock. Moreover I would also like to ask its off roading capabilities.

I have recently bought a pajero Gen 2 with a V6 toyota 5vzfe engine in it. Overall a nice vehicle my brother has owned quite a few Toyotas like LC 70, Surf 94 1kz and surf 96 1kz. I have been a Suzuki fan but last month I sold my Suzuki LWB and bought this pajero.
Overall I will rate pajero better than Tlc70 and Surfs in comfort and stability haven't tested it off the road will plan a desert tour after eid.
A problem that I am facing is that it's front suspension has a lot of noises. Suspension is OK but couldn't identify the reason of these noises. Can any one advice me any good mechanic in Karachi for this issue.

It is usually the stabilizer bar links clacking. Most mechanics don't replace them as they seem solid but in reality they are not.

Btw I am having few queries.
I am facing a problem. On very steep downhill slopes the speed of the engine braking is not enough (having automatic tx and keeping in mode L) and I have to resort to a lot of braking which I am not comfortable with. Also the brakes get heat up and then I have to stop and wait for them to cool off a bit.
Can I shift to 4LLc mode prior to the decent so as to decrease the downhill speed or this is a wrong utilization of this option. Since the modes aval for the transfer case are 2H, 4H, 4HLc & 4LLc. I am worried about the locked center differential. Since heard a lot about differential damages and tx winding issues.

Also how can I check if my Pajero has LSD and if its there is what's the required maintenance for it.

Waiting for the gurus expert advises.

What model is this? The 2.5 didn't come with super select to my knowledge. If the decent is extremely steep, I guess it's alright to use 4 llc but as long as there aren't any hard turns, because locked diff can't take hard turns, decreases turning radius.

It's a 1994 Exceed. It is super select. But doesn't have a rear differential lock switch so I was wondering it must have a LSD. Need to check it.

The slope is quite steep and the speed goes till 40 km. So need to brake a lot.
So no sharp turns or no turning at all should be done. PS. It's a rocky track.
