M confused, want to buy 2nd gen 3 doors and every one on PW claims condition is genuine and marvelous but price ranges from 850,000/- to 1,400,000/-. Don't know what and why is the difference of 4 lacs.

Bro you can find one from 8 lac till even 23 lacs. It ranges due to condition, model year since Gen 2 is from 1991 till 1998 in between which there's an upgrade after 1996 or 95. It also depends on the rarity of ride .
Now just for your understanding a hypothetical ride probably the 8 lac one will have a body swap who's entry probably won't be on its papers. Condition and variant of engine also determines. There are 5 engine variants (common). Engine can also be changed since most of the local Mechanics don't have the expertise to understand and overhaul a Mitsubishi engine. You can find Toyota engines under the hood too. Interior will be deteriorated. Condition of Tyres are also a point since they cost a lot. Good tyre set close to 70k to 80k. Body repainted. If sunroof version , then sunroof is a real trouble for non maintained rides and it leaks and mostly doesn't work. So it will be sealed through silicon etc. And so on and so forth.

Now reverse all of the above and change the model year to 1996 97 98 , you will find people asking 23 lac for that, which is more than its value but they are so exquisitely maintained that you can't help admiring the ride just by having a glimpse of it.

options and condition based. There are enough variants to have a such a price gap. Pick one that you like, get it thoroughly checked because if you land up with an abused pajero, you are in for the ride of your life.

Coz no other SUV under 2 Million is as fun as a well maintained Pajero. Period

A gen 2 pajero is a mid sized suv, a land cruiser is a full size suv. Surf has a weird driving position and prado is your only contender. Now even though it holds better value, it isn't as comfortable nor as stable as a pajero

What is difference between "central differential lock" and "rear differential lock"?

Center Differential locks the front and rear axles with each other thus giving a 50-50 forced power split to both axles.
Rear differential locks the 2 rear wheels together via the rear differential thus giving 50-50 forced power split to both wheels.

If you didn't understand what I wrote you need to understand working of a differential. Watch a couple of YouTube videos then you will understand the difference easily.

If i am not wrong, central diff came in gen 2.5 and onwards, wasn't there in gen 2

I have a gen 2, 94 model with 4m40 engine. It has central as well as a rear diff lock.
I think rear diff locks were not a standard feature in gen 2 but were available in some of the models.

Do your vehicle has sunroof and also roof bars? I heard 4m40 is very complicated engine and very few mechanics can understand it, is it true?

Mine has sunroof but no roof rails. In addition it has cruise control and abs.
I am not qualified to comment about 4m40. This vehicle is with me for the last 01 yr. Had problems initially because it was not maintained by the previous owner. Got the engine rebuilt and since then its behaving fine.

Center differential lock is a key feature in "super select" 4WD system of Mitsubishi pajero. And this is properly used in second generation Pajero.
