I did not say Liana is discontinued. I only compared Swift, City, Corolla and Sunny.

And secondly both Corolla & Civic come with 195/65R15 tires.

I like this car. Price is way high, but this is the case of all the cars like cultus, mehran, alto, corolla, city and civic.

In my opinion price should have been around 900k. But then cultus should have been under 650k, basic model. Alto should have been under 500k and mehran should have been under 350k. All cars have been ridiculously overpriced.

@night rider, ya okay got ur point, actualy i havnt seen the interior yet, actualy went to c the car before launch thru some reference @suzuki Defence it was locked then the guy i knew wasnt there.

but the pics ive seen i think theres chrome on the doors above the fabric ( em not tawking about door handles) dis is where city lacks the chrome.

altho sumthing cud have been added to the dashboard on at lighter place.

But this car only caters thoose who can afford a Toyota Vitz worth 1.5 or 1.2 million, secondly liana rxi isnt 999 any more recent price hike made it go up a little, the website isnt updated probably but thats also 10-20k only, an average person buying a petrol car wud obviusly prefer the boot. but as we noe Liana rxi petrol leita kaun hai, Liana only sales because of being the only ff cng sedan avalible.

In pakistan who cares for abs, ebd, matching door handles, power side mirrors.

i think SUzuki shud discontinue the rxi and let it compete wid LXI (the top of the line 1.3 Liana)

I visited Makka Motors karachi today, had a detail look of the car. In my opinion, yes its priced a bit high but thats the case with every single car we got here in pakistan. All car prices mehran,coure,alto,city,xli,gli,civic should be reduces so of this swift.. Exterior Quality of car is excellent. Looks really good. Interior is inferior to LIana in my opinion but better than cultus.

Over all its really a nice car, a really good package. Just compare it to Cultus VXLi, you get one for 8.7 Lacs lacking so many options as compare to this Swift.

I will definetly go for this car, just arranging to sell my 2008 Oct-Nov Cultus vxri to have my hands on this beauty and beast

• Sales manager told me that for now on booking is only made for companies or if car leased from a bank. Not on full cash to individuals.

today again we visited showroom ...did complete and detailed observation

quality of this car is batter then any suzuki car

@leg space....

to much space just as other cars...some 1 said it has less...even a tall person can sit easily

its worth spending of 1 million then spending on 1.3l corolla or city which even cost more and are local made parts

i thing is strange....

ECU is not under dashboard but its is under hood along with engine

So many threads regarding Swift made me go with a friend and check out the car today.. and yes I was surprised to see the built quality.. It may not be the best, but much better than expected from Pak Suzuki.. Looks were good.. Doors and Body seemed solid.. I am not a technical person so can't comment on its engine but main turn down for was lack of leg space in the back and a smaller trunk space as compared to Cultus.. and then the price tag of 999k..!!!

Friend who was with me then took me to different showrooms where 2005 Civic VTI oriels (CNG) were available between 850-900k depending upon the condition.. Similarly very good condition 2005-06 Altis Corollas (CNG) were between 1050-1100k and City 2006-07 (CNG) were between 850-900k..

What Pak Suzuki fails to realise is that people buy Mehran, Alto and Cultus becoz of their cheap maintenance and good resale value.. 999k for a hatch back is something which won't go well with many people'.. It will probably sell well in larger cities where most of the youngsters will love to have it but not in the small towns where the top priority is the resale and fuel economy..

So.. Will I like to have this car?? a BIG YES..
But.. Will I buy this car?? a BIG NO..
I'll rather go for a good 2nd hand City or Corolla..

lower than 2005 Vitz,
lower than the failed Liana,
3.5 lac rupees lower than the failed City,
25k more than Santro Exec,

This Swift @ 1.5 times the price of indian Swift = Good Price, im afraid buh lovely bros @ 9 lacs this car would Sell, im sovvy buh it will

got the price of 900,000 from the website, it was soon updated to 10 lakhs. Probably an error which was fixed later.

car no doubt looks great but the price tag is very high for a 1.3 hatch plus an OWN straight away is ridiculous. add the cost of registration & insurance would make this swift touch 11.5 laks or more.. so i dont think its wise decision to go for a hatch in that money, if i had this much budget i would have opted for a used Vti oriel 2005/06 eyes closed!

M13A...I asked dealer he told me its the same engine as Liana with slight changes.

'slight changes' must the the change in coil system, Liana had coil issues reported frequently..
