Has anyone verified the immobilizer working in wagonr ? I did, try keeping window down of anyone door, lock the door by pressing the lock on the key, then try openning the door by opening the door lock inside the car by reaching to the lock from down window, car horn will start buzzing until you unlock the door using key or unlock button.

Yes sir, it happens everytime I open the trunk with the keyy without unlocking the car from the remote first

I am not a big fan of CNG sir. Had a good lesson with my mehran with FF cng. I bought it zero metre and the engine started giving smoke by 60k mileage.

CNG is false economy in my view and I would never want to take panga with a car costing 1m plus of my hard earned money

Yes brother, that thing is also working fine in my Wagon R VXL, but as far as I know, this feature is called security alarm, not immobilizer, as the later is the technology used to encode key so that the engine may only run with that particular coded key, thus minimizing the chance of possible theft. Correct me if I am wrong, please?

That expected distance u r talking about ,its actually distance covered by your wagon r.

In Tachometer , RPM meter ,speed meter ,fuel meter bar and distance covered.

Wagon R has an immobilizer, with the same technology that you are referring to. Please have a look at the owner's manual for further details.

Press that black needle knob thingy and you can toggle between trip A ( maybe trip B ), distance until empty and ODO meter- the one you want.

The wagon R doesn't have the metre telling you the expected distance your car can travel in the available fuel. It has an odo metre, tellingg you the total mileage done by the car, a trip A (which u may use for fuel consumption calculation) and a trip B (which u may use for engine oil change calculation).

When I first drove my car, the fuel meter was blinking on the last bar, and it showed 13.1 KM. I asked the dealer and he said that you could only travel 13 KM with the amount of fuel available. I then drove the car to a nearby Shell Petrol pump and topped up the fuel tank, and when I started the car again, the same meter which was previously showing 13.1 KM was then showing 145 KM. If I take your words that it showed the mileage, how come it was possible that the car travelled from 13.1 KM to 145 KM in no time, when infact, the distance between the showroom to petrol pump was hardly 300 M. Still Confused.

Honestly, I don't have a Wagon R neither have I driven one.

What I can tell you- some cars show instant fuel average ( depending on throttle ) and average fuel consumption ( more or less like median )

You can always reset the average fuel average -.those figures are accumulated after many km of driving.

This is from the first day I drove the car back from the showroom in Sheikhupura, 60km from Lahore. The car behaved perfectly at 120km speed, with stock tyres. (I received a lot of criticism for this harkat also :p, from members with a different point of view on engine break-in)

Bro rpm is between 3k and 4k it means that you were driving car on 4th gear at that moment

Yes that is security alarm but immobilizer works coupled with alarm, if you try opening the car with anyother key or means other than original key car will start buzzing horn

I will share again my car mileage in karachi city tomorrow, very first mileage i got was 11.45 km/l, then i got 14.35km/l both are for 100+ km distance.
