Yesterday, a few people came to inspect my Wagon R VXL. They opened the front door and sat inside, inspected the front dash board, and came out saying: "Cultus Wagon R say ziada comfortable hai" I literally wanted to slap him for such a highly biased statement, but controlled my anger Our public is best at making premature judgments about some thing without even using it first

HAHA. These people....
I own Cultus and quite frankly whenever I sit in it, I feel like I am lying. It is too low. And quite frankly getting out of it for old and fat people is really an exercise.
The nation which loves to buy 25 years old "peepa" known as Mehran can never adopt change that easily.

Pak Suzuki is now paying attention to customer complaints.

Last month while changing my seat covers, the worker found a cutter inside a rear seat. This cutter cause an injury to him. I was surprise and could not believe that a cutter was residing inside the rear seat.
Anyhow I took the snaps of cutter and his injured leg and emailed to different suzuki departments for investigation.

I got a call from Suzuki Head office Lahore and they send a team to my city for detailed inspection. At first they denied my claim that it seems impossible. I straight away told them I did not make up this story to get any attention. They brought out the rear seat and they also confirmed that the cutter was already there.

Now they asked me to get them to the local shop where this incident happened. Upon investigation, the worker also confirmed about this incident. To my surprise they gave him 5,000 rupees as compensation. They got me back to dealer office and gave me Suzuki Oil and Oil filter to be replace at 5000km oil change inspection. So I got a benefit of 3,000 rupees as well.

Although this compensation seem to little but in a country like Pakistan, this change is good sign. At least they responded and tried to solve the issue.

Then I got this from Suzuki

I wish they start listening to people's desire and launch some new models. But they won't.

approx how much will it cost? and by mirror you mean mirror with back cover? i mean the whole part which folds right ?

Guys, so I have the Wagon R for roughly a week and I am not impressed with its gearbox. I understand that new cars have a bit stiff mechanism but Wagon R's is of a whole other world; especially the reverse gear - it gets stuck half the time.

So, is it a manufacturing defect or classic Pak Suzuki crap?

Did you have first gear oil changed yet ? It will get better but sometimes reverse gear get stuck in my WR too but you know what we had honda city 2012 zero meter till 60k kilomters and its reverse gear get stuck almost every time.

Can we make some wise guess about the quality of assembled pak suzuki cars by having a look on the tools used for assembly of the car.

Reverse gear if an issue in most of the cars, you need to be dead sure that the car is standing still before applying reverse gear. If you feel difficulty in getting the best into reverse first put it in 3rd and without taking for our clutch then into reverse.

No not yet. Its barely crossed 100 km on the odo. Should I change it this early on Wagon R???

Thanks for the suggestion but the reverse gear gets stuck even when I am taking the car out of the driveway, i.e, from a parked position. This is why I asked because I have a feeling that there is something wrong with the gearbox.

On your 1st inspection show it to the service guys, if by then it's still hard then get it replaced.

So you mean door open sign's available in speedometer of WR but doesn't works ... will you please share a pic if possible?

Well according to suzuki, they do not use any kind of such tool at assembly plant. May be this is from vendors or suppliers.

ok. but will that jdm side mirror be exactly same as of our wr bro? i am thinking to spend 8600 and buy a new one as car is new and looks very ugly
very upset yar. 9000 for a simple manual mirror too much bt no other choice i guess as it's a visible thing yr

Jamaal bhai, as far as my limited knowledge is concerned, the mirror plus cover of JDM Wagon R should fit the PKDM variant, but you may have to get it repainted to match the colour of your car. Don't know about the availability and price of the same in Rawalpindi, Lahore markets. Any respected member, living there may help you out.
