Tbh instead of banging someone you should get his point. I saw 2 here in islamabad and me and my bro laughed the hell out.
It looks like a carry van. And he's right by saying people who have a big family it good for them. it's a modern version of bolan.
Where as for people having normal families like 3 4 in total swift is perfect for them.
And if a young guy wants a car he'll never opt for a wagon r.
So in short wagon r is a car for a big family choti family wala wagon r kabhe nae le ga he'll go for a slight used swift

Further don't forget that the beloved wagon R was only launched here because suzuki couldn't make alto, anymore otherwise they would still be stuffing it down our throats and we would still be buying it in great nos and feeling smug about it, we accept junk and they give us junk, when I visited Srilanka in 2006 even they don't have small crappy cars they had vw, Toyota. Honda. Mitsubishis and one or two tata indica and they were in the middle of civil war and in Maldives the whole island was 2 Sq km and that had evos, v6, v8 cars. The point is they had good passion about cars nit, to them not everything that has for wheels and steering wheel is a car

Friend... I respect your obsession with 'car sense'... but there is something which is called 'practicality'... if not buying a civic is a lack of car sense then not earning at least 0.5million per month should be lack of 'employment sense'...and not living in a 1000 sq. Yd. Bungalow in defense should be lack of 'home sense'... and all in all living in Pakistan should be lack of 'country sense'

Your anger is misdirected bro: if u r angry against car manufacturers for not making quality cars, u should raise a voice against them (and I will join u in that campaign) - especially honda or toyota who have tons of small cars everywhere else in the world, except pk. Suzuki is the only one which has introduced a car for the masses.

And if u r angry abt pakistani ppl for buying crap cars, again this is the wrong forum. Majority of the ppl here have already bought a wagon R, so too late for that. U should make a separate thread and hopefully, ppl can be guided with ur opinion.

Every one has its own point of views, one should blame any one else...... or curse someone, ppl who cannot afford luxury cars like Honda, toyota and want a brand new car within budget of small amount have to see options which includes car comfort resale value car make within the country, the most important after sales and service including parts. One has to see all these things obviously with money in hand , unfortunately in pakistan ppl are reluctant to buy a car from dealers as they are being mislead about car condition, mileage, with the higher price.

Last but not least the tax which a salaried person has to bear and heavy on its pocket.

So in the current scenario does any one has option in brand new car to be chosen with comfort, space, better mileage, lower annual tax amount within budget ????

Of course non of the options are available in brand new cars in pakistan except Suzuki....... within 1000 cc engine

Totally agreed with both brothers. To add, the definition of 'best' varies within the mind of every person. What is 'best' in my sight can be 'worst' in some one else's eyes. All one should do is to 'agree to disagree'.

I have never seen a car older than that of my uncle's. He has a 2-door Toyota Corolla, more than 40 years old model of 1970s. He is still using it, and to him, that car is dearer than even a PKR 500 Million worth of Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, because he knows that driving a cheap old car, which he can afford, in real world, is better than driving a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster in dream world.

We bought Wagon R most importantly because our budget can afford a brand new car within this range only. Wagon R can be a 'dabba', or choice of 'old baba' etc in some one else's eyes, but then what I always say, I agree to disagree. Cheers

1) Wagon R model currently Pakistan has is international version of Present day, it is sold in India and Indonesia. Both countries are better developed countries than Pakistan.
2) In Pakistan why you are expecting to get a mean machine in 11 lacs, Do you know how much these Japaneses 660/1000 cc cost in japan ? here is the price of new passo Toyota Passo New 2014 Model in Japan, it is $15300 it is, Suzuki Wagon R New 2014 Model in Japan, Japanese WagonR is for $14700, do the conversion and see where the prices stands even in japan which is home of cars.

Now considering these points, we should not be appreciating the monopoly of the automakers here, this is due to the monopoly we still have mehran in cultus which are obsolete model and nowhere made even 10 years ago. And no small cars from Toyota and Honda.

Now moving to shape, SHAPE is one and only one factor among 100 features car have, for someone SHAPE is very important so they have option to buy cultus or raise budget and get a swift for others there is Wagon R. I can compromise shape with number of positives Wagon R is offering. Because i don't want a car with

1) No space still 1300+ with all the fuel cost, registration and taxes cost. (Swift)
2) Used car with viberation, need mixture of hi-octane to run, high spare cost, giving fuel economy of 10 km/l. (Vitz)
3) 14 years old model in Pakistan and 24 years old model in international market (Cultus).
4) JDM 660cc underpowered with mentioned weight limit of 200kg, expensive spares, costly to maintained (Mira, Wagon R, Move etc).

Being said that Wagon R is still giving value for money better than many other substitutes. We are here because we love cars but you know in practical life it is limited to the options and budget available.

I am using Wagon R from June 12th 2014 , Total 7000 KM's are done . Excellent car on long drive and within city . Getting 19 / km out of city with AC and 13 / KM within city with AC . Got tyres up-graded as 175 * 70 * 13 . Superb grip , top speed was 170 KM/ H on M2 near Sukhekhi . AC is perfect , its very spacious , Gear is smooth like any thing . Drive is owesome , I was not expecting it from Pak Suzuki . What else is required guyz . I am surprised to see comments of people for its shape , common man this shape is because of its name its WAGON RECREATION (WAGON R) . A perfect package for the people who can afford 1 million new car. I would rather say GO CULTUS GO . ha ha ha

Totally agree with you, I kept Two Suzuki Swifts one pearl blue and the other one mahroon(which i still have) now I have Wagon R ,

Agreed Suzuki Swift is more powerful and more responsive to drive at high speed but
Suzuki Swift lacks in:
1. It has a cheap plastic dashboard(Agr yajeen na ay to Swift Owners driver side k mirroe down kr k door close kro and you will listen dak dak sound, guys at Suzuki Showroom said to me ya asa he ha)

1. Pathetic fuel consumption, max 12 km/liter wo be Allah agr ap ki sun la to.

2. Hard suspension

3. Driving seats are not comfortable I had replaced the driving seat in warranty, (proves are on Suzuki Swift Owners Fan Club)

On the other side Wagon R is not packed with luxury but as the Advertisiment slogan says "BE PRACTICAL" so you can get more than this car in 11 lac.

First trip of my wagon R on motorway very silent yes it did left track a bit when deawoo crossed me at 110 over all very smooth drive no engine sound on even 140
Avg i got from lhr to pwr is 19km with fulltime AC not bad

Somewhat valid argument but is the manufacturing quality isn't the same. The safety features, testing ain't same, and get ur point regarding monopoly, but who is going to break that monopoly? us or the auto makers, they are using the policy meant to promote local car industry which just doesn't brings jobs it brings and nurture the passion about cars how many of us have even heard the sound of an v8. yes we are a third world County mainly because we have given up on our rights, why aren't there air bags in local cats aren't our lives worth the same as the others, unless we the public don't realize that we are being created cause we are allowing them, nothing is going to change u will buy a1000 cc box car today for 11 and your son will buy a 500 cc for 30. Tomorrow
