You are also right, it is a general phenomina and you have observed it every where in Pakistan, when you go to an outlet the shop keeper try to convince you by putting all the bests in front of you of a certain product and when you decided to buy and suddenly he came to know that the product you selected is not in his stock, he immediately jumps to another parallel product and tries to convince you that this is better than the previous or at par if not better.
But I think consumers had to think what best suites him considering company's recommendations as well, for an Oil filter as I told you I prefer to have Guard, there is a slight difference of body size as well in the Thai made filter and Guard, Guard is bigger than the other, but no issues at all in its performance, I believe in times to come Pak Suzuki will also use Guard oil filter in new WR as well to cut their cost, though 300 to 400 Rs. only, but you know PS.
