This time two Pak Wheelers had a Boating, Fishing, Crabing, Bird watching, etc.ing trip to Arabian Sea and Mangroves forest near Karachi.
<o:p></o:p>
We have a beautiful treasure of Mangroves forests delta and some virgin islands and beautiful sandy beaches, not far from Karachi. This treasure is not hidden, but ignored. Even Karachiiets are not bothered to go there and discover (Cuz, Ghar ki murghi hy). <o:p></o:p>
There are a number of inhabitant in these forests like soul fish, mud fishes, eight species of crabs, tiger shrimps, fish eating birds etc. etc. Some of the species are not found anywhere. (Now also not found here). <o:p></o:p>
“The Indus Delta extends to an area of approximately 600,000 hectares of which 160,000 consists of mangrove forests. These are unique in the sense that they are considered to be the largest area of arid climate mangroves in the world”.<o:p></o:p>
“There are about 100 identified species of fin-fish and crustaceans that breed in these waters and 25 of them have commercial value”.

It all started when me and my friend Adnan started planning for fishing trip, as we used to go in every winter season. But due to the “Maherbani” of a couple of friends, all winter season passed in only planning. And in the end we decided to go by our own (only two of us). But fortunately my boss. Mr.Javed heard my conversation. He called me and passed a resolution that we are not allowed to go without. This news broke out in our dept. and then

Anyhow, on last Sunday we picked all the qabeela and headed to Korangi harbor. <o:p></o:p>
The beauty of newly built Korangi Harbour is known by a few people in Karachi. Surprisingly neat and clean Korangi Harbour is surprisingly at 10 minutes drive from Shahrah e Faisal. <o:p></o:p>
We picked all the stuff enroute and reached Korangi Harbour via Landhi industrial area at almost 9 ‘O clock, as we don’t want to keep all the fishes, crabs and birds waiting.

"Life is not a bed of roses".
Local fishermen, they came all the way to these islands, not by boat but on the sacks full of thermopole pieces.They spend whole day on these sacks in open sea.They are not fishing by net, but the are fishing with fishing line and single hooks. they have their own techniques of throwing the line and pulling, like in kite flying. and they do catch a good deal of fish by the end of day.:o
