@ LR Defender
Model of the vehicle is 2007, it was puchased on 17-02-2009 from an Islamabad based tour operating company. At the time of purchase it had done 12,000 kms and currently the meter reading is 14,000. This Defender is in completely genuine paint/condition.
Sigma installed extras on the Defender are Dual AC, Electric Winch, Front and Rear Light Guards and Roof Rack. The engine is 2.5 liter TDI and I am yet to make any changes or improvements in the vehicle.
My future plan is to have a set of 4 powerful off road lights on the roof and to get installed power windows and central locking. Other than this the only wish list is to have slightly lower profiled tyres like 265/70/16 because the sigma/genuine 235/85/16 gives the Defender slightly more than comfortable side way movement.
I am taking part in 4X4 rallies since the Cholistan Rally of 2008. For rallies I have prepared a Suzuki Jimny 2008. The Defender's purpose is to operate as my Service and Rescue Vehicle i.e. it will carry parts, fuel and support staff/mechanic for the rally vehicle as well as it will carry all the camping stuff.
My only trip on the Defender was to Cholistan from 25th Feb, 2009 till 28th Feb, 2009 i.e. to take part in this year's Cholistan Rally. Unluckly the event was called off due to the prevailing political unrest, however, since being there, I took the Defender out into the desert and found it to be a worthy off roader.
