hey Pakwheelers, hope everyone is fine, im looking for suggestions, ,i know its a dig, but its a club forum so hoping to get some replies, and bumping this thread back to life,,
the thing is im looking for suggestions for an engine swap in my Land Rover Discovery 1, currently i dont have any engine and transmission in my Disco 1 , i have some options that i can choose from fuel consumption and finding a shop to do the swap is not my concern , i have my own shop where i can do the swap , the options under consideration are as follows
- Toyota 1kzte with manual transmission, diesel
- LR 300tdi with manual transmission. diesel
- Toyota 2UZ with manual transmission. petrol
- Toyota 1UR with auto transmission. petrol
im more inclined towards 1KZT and 2UZ v8 , both engines are reliable and parts are easily available, both engines have their pros and cons, what im looking for is from someone here using these engines in their land rovers to share their drive experience and performance of these engines in land rovers. so i can make up my mind ,
