Pakistan made transistor UPS vs Chinese FET UPS

Dear brothers and sisters. AOA. I bought a Pakistani made transistor UPS 3 kVa in 2008. Some friends of mine tell me to switch to a Chinese FET UPS because Pakistani UPS uses old transistor technology and Chinese use FET. They say that Pakistani transistor UPS uses lot of electricity as compared to Chinese FET UPS. Pakistani transistor UPS also consumes lot of battery power to make AC power. In short, Pakistani UPS is less efficient. So they have suggested me to switch to Chinese FET UPS because it is more efficient. My question is. are these points of my friends valid? Please help. Very very confused. Thanks.

FET are new semiconductor technology which are power efficient hence they perform well w.r.t transistor. So yes they utilize electricity better than transistor.

Shukriya @cursedd sir g. In fact I have a big 3kVa desi UPS. It is 9 years old having big transistors. With three 135 ampere batteries, I am hardly getting a 45 minutes backup for 4 fans and 9 energy savers. Now this is truly quite inefficient after 3 hours of recharge. What do you think sir?

Its relating to conversion loss not back up time. Problem here is charging speed, due to loadshedding your ups is not being fully charged it's because there is a lot loadshedding in your area or charging speed is not good.

I have a 1kva APC but due to more load i am looking for a good 3kva setup.. Problem with Apc is its charging speed is less and if i change to 3kva it will hardly get charged.

Possible solution as per me could be to use external chargers for eaxh battery to charge them quickly. Or divide the load which will require separate wiring and install 3 ups of 1kva each

APC UPS uses FETs technology and its 3 kva makes 2700 watts and works with 4 batteries and its charging current is 15 to 20 amps ... and its efficiency is 95 % plus ........

it might be possible that your ups might not be charging batteries properly and hence you are getting less backup.
Also check if proper current is being supplied by the ups to charge the batteries.
How old are your batteries?

well cux of its filters and microchip ........ plus the fet thy r using r the best ........ plus it has a bios for monitoring its efficiency ...
