Though i would advice you to take the Prado instead of Vigo. Reason being that your route is gonna be really long and tiring and prado provides alot more comfort than vigo. Speaking that because of my own experience with both the vehicles. Furthermore, Prado is more spacious, one can easily sleep in the back cabin after folding the both rear rows of seats.

Due to Vigo's open rear, on stops for dinner/lunch you need a guard by your vehicle to protect the luggage in it's open rear. Or, do the hassle, of moving your personal belongings from the rear to the cabin and vice versa on returning from the stop over!

start gathering information for Toyota parts shop across your route, keep your vehicle's VIN / engine / chassis information handy. search internet pick out recovery services which operate 24/7 across the countries you travel. Before leaving your home ground ask Toyota to add an extra fuel filter in line so that any variation in diesel quality will be compensated with out pump failure.

If conveniently possible wihout any extra paper work buy anISAT Prepaid phone [ price euro 550 with 150 free minutes GPS is built-in ] test it before leaving home and stash it discreetly inside luggage. that will be your SOS phone if & when you are stranded in middle of nowhere with zero cell coverage. That phone will be your window to the world.

with Pakistan passport & International driving license IRAN will be your most stressful test stretch, do visit Iranian consulate / embassy and get paper work sorted with translation - Iranian border security forces ask for every paper & permit to presented in "FARSI" or '

Why would they bother giving us security. We are just common travellers. I am sure that this stage won't come and if God forbids, we land in such situation then I can use my contacts in our embassies. As far as carrying guns; it is out of question. No country allows such facility to foreign travellers.

You are very right in saying this but the decision was taken in keeping the toughness, flexibility of the Vigo. We can carry a lot of extra stuff in the bed of the vehicle.

I have mentioned in one of my post that we are no hurry in reaching the destination, this is going to be quite a long trip and we can rest on the way as per need and will. I am the oldest in the group and am more excited about the challenges then the rest and telling others to TINGA KAA (ask for the translation from any of pukhtoon friend of yours .

We have acquired charging system for Laptops, phones and other gadgets.

Waiting for NOC for foreign travel from respective employers of 3 team members. We are expecting that to reach us in 3 weeks max as it involves a lot of clearances. The Vehicle should also be handed over to us by then. Two members have active visa's for all the three destinations and two has to get. Shouldn't be a problem in getting that as well. In Shaa Allah.

If a car or vehicle is EU verified in any EU country- It applies to all EU countries.
I.e my Honda is EU certified in Norway, I can drive to any country in EU and I am allowed to drive

Tires and Rims are sponsored by a Tire Company. Will change the complete set instead of changing tires on the existing Rims.

Will be carrying at-least 250 litres on board. Buying from Iran is not an issue :).

Yes - we are recording the journey. Will have 5 GoPro HD Cameras in and around vehicle and will record the entire journey. This is also the requirement of one of the Main Sponsor as well .
