PAC Kamra to produce Boeing parts
Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz will be the chief guest at the launching ceremony of Boeing Parts Production at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) Kamra today (Monday).
As an offshoot of the purchase contract of eight Boeing 777 aircraft by PIA, an agreement was negotiated with Boeing Company for production of some Boeing parts at PAC Kamra and PIA Precision Engineering Complex, Karachi. Prior to this agreement Boeing Company carried out a meticulous surve of the PAC facilities. After evaluation of all the necessary infrastructure expertise and internationally recognized Quality System Boeing offered transfer of technology to (TOT) Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS) Certification training and technical support to Pakistan aeronautical complex.

AF complex bags contract supply 200 parts to Boeing
Pakistan Air Force's aeronautical complex (PAC) has bagged a contract worth USD 90 million to supply 200 parts to us aircraft manufacturer Boeing.
The contract was signed between PAF and a Boeing official in the presence of Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz at PAF complex in Kmara today.
Aziz said Pakistan, with its strong defence capabilities could play a major stabilising role in the region.
"The region has lot of challenges and if we look around the neighbourhood, having a strong credible defence capability can only add to peace," he said, adding the country's "core defence strategy is based on a minimum credible deterrence."

Boeing places $100m manufacturing orders with Pakistani companies
KARACHI: US company Boeing has placed electronics manufacturing orders worth $100 million with Precision Engineering Company and Pakistan Aeronautical Complex.
This was stated by Director Boeing Company Seattle, USA Miguel R Santos at a seminar on “Electronics and Electrical Contract Manufacturing”, held recently.
According to EPB, the objective of the seminar was to sensitize the related Pakistani industry and obtain feedback on the subject.
He said that in next two to three years, Boeing’s outsourcing could surpass $1 billion mark for electronics and electrical manufacturing companies.........
