but why is culture just limited to what you wear?
the bigger problem I see is that people mix their personal life with professional, meaning getting involved in other peoples lives to the point of acting like relatives.
Then segregating by "class" - and all the other idiotic points which waste time.
but Ive yet to see a co. actually spend money on culture building, e.g. implementing best practices, or using a building properly - usually you see the boss's office is a waste of space while staff is sometimes sharing a single desk. And totalitarian laws penned in contracts as a bonus.
Usually the boss is a waste of time as he is an investor only and has no idea of the business - just uses hired help to get the ball rolling and keep the income under 8 layers of mud (tax dodging)
MNC tops in Pakistan are nothing more than "gora sb ka naqal" - it was very amusing for me when I met some expats from telenor in Pakistan when they were establishing themselves, (it was a business deal) - and we had a very usual meeting with a box of donuts and a cup of coffee. People assumed Im some insane level bigshot to do that.
While infact - all I did was use the century old business practice of
meeting at level
leaving at square
with peace offering of breaking bread.
