Every year, PakWheels.com conducts a comprehensive automobile industry survey to ascertain the choices, habits, and preferences of the consumers. This survey also helps compare and analyze new data with the old one. The survey provides valuable insights into the behaviors, preferences, and trends of the Pakistani automobile community.
The PakWheels Automobile Industry Survey 2022 gives us similar insights. With over 29,000 participants, the survey yielded interesting results reflecting the choices and opinions of Pakistani consumers.
Bike Awards
When asked to rate locally available brands for the following criteria, the respondents voted Honda to be the best in all categories.Value for Money
When asked which bike brand provided the most value for money, the respondents chose Honda to be their number one choice. It was followed by Yamaha and then Suzuki.
Brand Image
The participants were asked to choose the brand with the most impressive brand image, and Honda took the award again. The first runner-up was Yamaha, and then the second was Suzuki.
Quality
The award for the best quality was also given to Honda by the participants. This time, followed by Suzuki and then Yamaha.
Maintenance Products
The respondents were also asked to rate their favorite maintenance product brands, such as fuel, motor oils, and tyre brands.Best Fuel Brands
In terms of market share, PSO dominates with a 44% market share. This was also reflected in the popularity rankings as the participants chose PSO to be their first choice for fuel. It was followed by Shell and then Total.
Best Motor Oils
An impressive 27% of the respondents voted for Honda to be the best motor oil out there. Then came ZIC with 12% votes, followed by Shell with 8% votes.
Best Tyre Brand
The bike tyre market is dominated by Servis with a 43% market share. This was also mirrored in the results as Servis was voted to be the best tyre brand, followed by Panther and then Diamond.
Best Batteries
There is close competition in the market among battery brands, with AGS owning 24% market share and Atlas and Osaka owning 20% each.
The participants also voted in this order, with AGS on top of the list, followed by Atlas and then Osaka.
