i am using zic A 10w40 in recently rebuild 1.3L engine.
Is it right practice?
Should i continue?
Should i move to synthatic oil,mean A+?
Reasons.
Guide me in detail please.

U r using right brand
when u rebuilt engine there are too many things by which we and our mechanics save mony like most importantly piston and rings set
more over the machinist performance also are not up to d mark so i suggest to keep continue ZIC A which will suit ure engine

for LSD (limited slip differancial) use oil specific LSD oil but if u face dificulties regarding finding it then u can use it as it fulfill d requirement of its GL-5
Secondly i recommend u ZIC XQ FULLY SYNT. oil

in our place its hard to find an lsd oil/ even the zic gear FF is hard to find. so zic gear 5 is good to go?

yeah my car is 4 cylinder gasoline turbo. will zic a compatible and can withstand to turbo?

I have heard about Liqui molly that it is a good engine oil, so i visited a shop where the price of liqui molly was very high with obsolete API ratings 0f SH, SJ the oil was semi-synthetic 10w-40 MOS2. so please guide about this oil and specially about its API ratings

Dear S Swift engine is EFI and the engine clearance is very narrow
more over ask to Suzuki persons what oil is recommended by the japanees manufacturers and more over there is a wrong mythe about summer oil and winter oil it is wrong concept you should use ZIC A+ which is fully synthetic oil and solely graded by ILSAC GF-4

What if i use ZIC XQ.Is it available in 10W40? Its advantages over ZIC A and A+. What is ur recommendation out of these 3 as suzuki people recommend ZIC A (5W40).

Liqui molly is not a bad brand
As far as the API is concerned have a view of my oil guide
d lattest API Grading is SM for Gasoline/petrol engines
and all Zic Brand oils are API SM Grade with reasonable cost
in d last All OEM do not recommend MOS2 oil
So have a confidance on ZIC OIL

Surly ZIC A 10W40, API SM can withstand to any hash condition too
and to understand differance study API chart of Base oil Grouping
and understand it
ZIC XQ , Mobil 1 are the synthetic oil produced from Group IV
and ZIC A is produced from Group III
Both are Synthetic but Group IV has plus supriority compare to Group III

API Base Oil Classification

Group Vis. Index Saturates Sulfur Other

I 80 - 120 <90% and/or ≥0.03% -[LEFT]
[LEFT]II 80 - 120 ≥90% and <0.03% -[/LEFT]

III >120 ≥90% and <0.03% -

Use ZIC HIFLO , API SM and first chang it after 3000 km
2nd chang after 4000 km and so on
if d machnical condition is good extand it to 5000 km .

Yes u can smothly switch over ot ZIC XQ, API SM , SAE 5W40.
first change After 8000 km 2nd after 10000 km
and finally u can extand ODI up to 15000 km according to mechanical condition of engine

i red the list of authorized dealer in this forum you have given for Islamabad. the suitable dealer for me is Al-latif Autos I-9. i will get oil from there, now i need some help from you.
the car is santro 2003 EFI.
1: how to check that the oil is genuine?
2: my oil history is: 1st i used Shell helix HX5 mineral oils for 2500 Kms twice 2500+2500 Kms.
3: then i change the engine valve seals only because the engine was smoking in the morning first start. the piston+piston rings were good but still i changed the rings only to be on safe side. so three things were changed valve seals+piston rings+head gasket.
4: after semi-overhaul i used shell helix hx5 mineral oil for 1000 Kms for initial rings break-in.
4: then i switch to Shell Helix HX7 semi-synthetic without engine flush. this oil is used for 2600 Kms so far.
5: Now i want to switch to ZIC, the mechanical condition of my ride is good as not smoking any more.
6: what SAE grade and API ratings you recommend for my ride and should i go for engine flush before switching to ZIC and if yes then how to flush?

i recommend ZIC A, API SM, SAE 10W40.
u dont need to flash it, just first change it after 2500 km 2nd 3000 km and go 4000 km

sir i trust mostly on METRO Pakistan. i always get oils from there, as i trust them a lot, there is no fake stuffs available i believe. i found almost all brands there at metro, like SHELL, TOTAL, CALTEX , etc.....

If you contact metro for ZIC then it will be a great help to the customers to get satisfied from metro. therefore i Suggest you to choose metro as your selling point.

I DON'T EVEN TRUST ON AUTHORIZED DEALERS EXCEPT SOME REPOTTED SELLING POINTS. THNAKS
