They're ok for inspecting paint n probably suspension.

But absolutely zero when it comes to engine and transmission health.

Don't do any compression test either.

Talk to a good mechanic in your city that how much he will cost for checking one car for sale.. They will usually say 2-5k and logistics will be upon you too.

Absolutely, can't tell much about an engine's health without a compression test which they don't do.

I would second that. It saved me from buying a car with a weak engine.

I recently had an inspection, perhaps 7th oct 2020. Report was like 8.2/10. Where as engine oil was leaking and tappet noise issue was also there, mentioned in report. I would say rating is misleading. It's a big no-go. They should rate car intelligently, not just 1+1=2.

Good thing was their mechanic called me to tell this, i was unable to catch this in report.

If the mechanic himself called you to tell you this, and saved you, then what else is needed? Is it still bad?

Regarding the scores, they are software generated and not manual.

Does the inspection team also check the vehicle documents?

Previously they used to, however, in case of simple inspection, I think they don't. May just check the docs, but not 100% verify.

However, if one is opting for "Pakwheels Sell it for me" service, or "Pakwheels Certified" or "Pakwheels Managed", then I think, they check for documents too.

nope there is no head in the report for vehicle documentation
