Got the camera with the kit lens currently as Nikon prices recently rose, so the budget got a bit disturbed for the prime lens. so it is a zoom 18-55 vr for now. will get f1.8 in 2 months perhaps...

NEED Help!
Well its almost been 3 days since i bought my camera along with a class 10 16gn card. What i have noticed while shifting from D5000 to D5100 is that my D5100 is slower in terms of recording photos, switching from ViewFinder to LiveView and also very laggy while browsing or flipping through pictures.

Is the problem because of my memory card?

D5100 is bit sluggish after all its Entry Level DSLR check that your Card and Card Slot have no issue, especially the Virus and also check by changing to some other Fast Lens, while f 1.8 G which will Auto Focus on D5100 will cost you near to 25k

already did, also restore all camera settings to factory settings.

yes, will prolly visit the retailer and check with other cards

You can remove the card and still turn it on and use it..
You can compare the performance and isolate card issue

well check your card's properties if its on quick removal then try changing it to performance , may be that'll help a bit

well it wont take any pictures without the memory card cuz the camera has no built in memory. will compare the overall performance thought
