PakWheels Rating vs. Japanese Auction Grade
Dear members,
I came across this listing (screenshot attached) and got curious about the difference in rating systems.
This Daihatsu Rocky has a Grade 4 auction sheet from Japan, yet it shows as 10/10 Certified by PakWheels.
From my understanding:
A Grade 4 in Japan means the car is in very good condition but with minor scratches/dents (not brand new).
A 10/10 PakWheels inspection usually means the car is excellent in local terms, no major flaws detected.
So, the same car can be rated differently because:
Japan grading is stricter, based on global standards at auction time.
PakWheels grading is based on the car’s present condition in Pakistan, often after detailing/reconditioning.
What are your thoughts?
Do you think PakWheels should align their rating closer to Japanese auction standards, or is their local scoring system justified?
Looking forward to the experts’ opinions.
