Pakwheels should not allow people to put a price more than the manufacturing price or road price

We all know that Suneel Munj is publicly against the "own pricing" on cars. He wants to end this mafia. I appreciate all of his efforts. I would suggest to Pakwheels and its community that it's high time that Pakwheels should not allow people to post a price on their ads that is more than the manufacturing price or road price.

Market "Own Prices" are directly impacted by Pakwheels. This "Own Mafia" uses (abuses) the platform to create a false sense of high demand. Their speculation of prices feeds back to the general mindset of the customers to accept high car prices, and other sellers are also encouraged to ask for more money than they should be asking for their old cars.

If Pakwheels can regulate max car price, that might break this vicious "Own" cycle. Even if this is against the marketplace norms, I think Pakwheels should give this a try.

I don't think putting such restrictions would prove any fruitful. Sellers will eventually migrate to places like OLX because everyone wants to sell their car at the highest possible bid.

What PW can do is put a label on each ad indicating whether that particular asking price is bad, good or great deal according to actual market rate. Take a look at "cargurus.com". They have implemented such thing. Attaching screenshot.

Yes that high/fair deal/overpriced implementation would be a much better solution. No-one wants to get their offices set on fire or get rocks thrown at them because some people in this country are capable of doing anything for their own gains as we have seen in the past. Suneel Sir is trying to make public aware as much as he can thorugh his videos which is a very commendable job. Now public also has responsibility to use their minds and not buy a car on premium to make their cousins or chacha jealous.

@dbk590 Sorry but your suggestion is not good. If a person is asking over and above the OEM price for his used car, you always have an option to go and buy a new car for the same or less price. The owner of the asset decides the fair price, and he is allowed to do so. The platform is just there for the seller to reach the buyer, they don’t regulate the prices. its an open trade transaction, nobody is forcing nobody to buy or sell anything.

I would also suggest that Pakwheels should start taking a fees to post add on their site.
For everyone’s kind information, Rescue 1122 gets about 94.2% Fake Calls according to a report by Express Tribune. Same is happening on Pakwheels that most of the adds posted are for Chaskas ( people are just getting an idea that how much their car price is increased )

Charging a fees to post an add will reduce the non-serious sellers who are just taking Chaskas and also it will give confidence to the sellers while buying cars and bikes.
At present , there are lot of people who have posted adds on Pakwheels and when you contact them and meet them , they might ditch you at the last moment or will tell you that “Abba nhi maan rhey” even if you offer them the price equal to their demand. This wastes your whole day and you end up being nowhere.
Such a behaviour not only wastes time of Serious and Potential Buyers but also reduce the trust of users in site.
Pakwheels should start charging a fee to post adds. Yes they can keep it minimal like 500 Pkr or 1000 Pkr but they should start doing this as this nation takes wrong advantage of Free Services.
