Passo 2014 ABS light on and D light blinking

Hi guys. My issue is as mentioned above.
I'll give you some background first. The problem first occurred when I
had the front wheel bearing changed. The ABS light turned on and the D
light started blinking. Turned out the mechanic had put the bearing
inside out and changing that fixed the problem. Fast forward to now (a
month later) and the ABS light turned on and the D light started
blinking, I checked ABS and it wasn't working. I switched off the car
and then switched it on and the ABS light was gone and D stopped
blinking, checked ABS by braking hard and it worked fine. So that's the
story. I don't know if the two are related or not, I don't know much
about cars.

how you're sure ABS is working?
about D light, can be electrical problem inside the shifter.

faulty error codes was saved in the ecu.
if same happens again try resetting the ecu by removing the battery terminal for a minute .

abs sensor is inside the wheel hub. but as you said after working on wheels bearing again ABS light goes, so i don't think it's mechanical issue.

Alright. What's confusing me is how these two issues always occur at the same time?

Yes that is. i think the wrong code is poping the ecu.

Change wheel hub for which you change bearing.
Our mechanic don’t have proper tools and they take out bearing by hammering which bends wheel hub spindle, and in return your brake disc is not moving properly. Happened with 2010 gli and than 2016 altis 1.8 cvt where even toyota did the same while replacing bearing. Problem was gone after fitting kaabli wheel hub. There was chak chak noise in brake below 40 on light braking, also abs for that specific wheel was not working properly.

Thanks for the response. I will do that but what's worrying me is the accompanying Flashing D light. Do you think these two issues are related?

Flashing D light can be related to transmission.
