Passo 2016 Fuel Average

Hi Umar, can you pls reconfirm/reflect average of your passo at this stage of ownership? As, I'm considering buying one.

My Car average on speedometer shows 11.5 to 12.00
my mechanic says no need of any tuning but as per comments it should go above 16 .. if i calculate manually then milage is about 14.5...
what do i do. i just purchased car
i am using half high octane and half normal
i am using zik Oil

No, if your traffic is stop and go, multiple signals, or you have to press brake often and can't just cruise at 50-70 without much braking..

Then that average is perfectly normal - 11 within city.

On motorway if you are getting 16.5-18 at 110 speed then that means engine is giving optimal output.

Those saying it should give anything above 13 within city drive in Islamabad-like conditions, very easy on the car and consumption... or don't measure properly.

have Toyota Passo Moda S 2016 model, I have fuel economy issue with my car. It gives me 13 kmpl at maximum during city drive while at motorways, it gives me almost 18 to 19 kmpl. How can, I improve my car's fuel economy in city driving?

That is perfect mileage both within city and on motorway.

Don't need to do anything. Even 11 is normal within city because of congested traffic and braking. Only in Islamabad you can get higher average.

I bought a Daihatsu Boon 2016 latest gen. last week. I am getting a very bad fuel average. It's doing max 8kmpl in city and 11 to 12 on the motorway with a very lightfoot. Sometimes I feel a very big lag doing overtakes and during acceleration.

Does the engine make noise and the car not go?

Yeah, if I am having a long drive she does something like that. Engine response becomes zero.

Check the catalytic converter, usually a blocked cat causes these issues

It might be an issue but before the tuning was done she was touching 17 to 18 on shahra e faisal with 5 ppl on board. Now even on motorway she is doing 11.5 to 12.

Blocked cat does cause this issue. Also, the ac in this car makes a world of a difference on mileage
