Passo sound on bumby road

i Have passo 2013,

It gives sound like kur kur from front part on bumby road, and also on speed brakers.

some people says its due to inborn noise, some says steering issue, some says its dry, some says it related to shocks.

its irritating and i wanna get it fixed.pl help

My Vitz has same issue. It started when I changed the brake pads. I have yet to fix it.

The same issue occured with me with a corolla, turned out the shocks had given up; changed everything from the brake pads, rotors etc and in the end turned out to be the shocks. I would highly recommend getting the shocks checked from either a 3S or some mechanic that you trust.

I am facing the similar issue in Passo 2013. Probably it is due to some worn out bushes in steering assembly. Though I have not get it checked from a mechanic.

Most probably it's due to dryness. You can service it properly and see if that resolves the issue.

I used to have this noise on bumpy roads from my Passo. Noise would go away if I very slightly press brakes. Test it. If noise goes away from pressing slightly break, issue is brake pad caliper pins. A little grease on it would make it go away for few weeks. Now I have changed brake pads with Kabli brake pads. No more noise.

Few months ago I had another noise coming from front. This time it turned out steering rod bushes. Those were changed and no more noise.

That can be fixed

Go to any good workshop and thell them to check front disk calipers

They have little play in it thus they rattle and make sound on bumpy roads

Solution : rap some sort of tape around them to make them fit harder and without play in place.
Best is the white soft tape which plumbers use when they fit pipes

I just get it done today and all sounds are gone.

You might also want to get all the bolts tightened at the front of the car

I have same sound in car, mechanic change the brake caliper, but it is still making sound. I read on the internet that there is some anti rattle brake springs which should be mounted on the brake pad to make stop the noise, but I don't know passo brake caliper has this option or not. What is the best solution for removing this noise, this is too much annoying

A.O.A My passo 2013 makes rattling noise when driven on bumpy road. There's no vibration in the steering wheel, just when the car is driven on a bumpy patch, the front suspension starts making strange noise, in high speeds the car is very stable. When there is a small patch of 1 or 2 yards on a highway, even then it feels greater than it would normally. What can be the issue if I want to check out at home?
I'm actually skeptical about the mechanics as they mess up the whole thing before coming towards the main point..., like messing with the sensors etc.
Help would be highly appreciated.

Lately I've been very concerned about the suspension noise coming from my car. That sound has been prevalent ever since and I'm about to get it resolved. Recently I had found a new problem regarding the suspension. That's despite having 28 and 30 psi air pressure in the tyres, the car would hit the ditches and the potholes ( inspite of my passing them slowly) like if there weren't any shock absorbers fitted to it. The issue went on for many days until after today's rain, when I drove it, I found that the aggression of that hit on the jolts and the bumps and even the cracks on the road had lessened. What could be that was causing this? The tyres are okay too. Thanks.

I had the same issue on my Passo 2011, like other users mentioned above the most likely issue is the brake caliper guide pins. These guide pins originally come with a rubber insulation around them which over time breakdown or are discarded during a break service my mechanics. My mechanic used some plumbing white tape around the guide pins and then greased them and put them back into the caliper. You could also try finding replacement rubbers for them from a used brake caliper kit but then you'd have to buy the entire kit lol.
