Passport Office Info (Lahore)

salam guys, I'll be going to Dubai Inshallah this June and I need to make a passport. As I have never been out of the country, I have completely no info what to do, where to go and many other things. So I was hoping if a fellow pakwheeler can help me in this matter. Here are some of the question I have in mind.

1. Where exactly is the passport office located in Lahore?
2. What are the timings??
3. What is the best time to go?? (m guessing i'll have to face a long queue, its better if I avoid it)
4. How long will it take in there??
5. How long do I have to wait for the passport to be ready??
6. What are the charges??
7. What documents are required?

Or any further info u guys could give, i'd appreciate that. Thanks!

Passport office is near barkat market. Best is to get in touch with a agent and he will do all processing in one day, 3-4 hrs. otherwise you may have to visit multiple times

The Passport website mentions 4 Passport offices in Lahore. Addition of two more offices may have changed the rush situation.

Anybody experienced the Lahore Bar Association Passport Office?

You need to go to a passport office near your place. the addresses can be taken from their website.
Passport fee is of two categories, normal and urgent. Apply for a normal passport which will be with you in 15 days guaranteed. there are SO CALLED agents outside every office. just go to him and ask him for a bank fee form. he will fill it out for you and guide you to the nearest bank. pay the fee and come back to the office. when you get in, you will have to stand in a queue. there are 5-6 counters which you will have to visit on your turn. (you will be issued a token number)
normally, the process will take one day of yours. (4 hours)
there is no need to go to an agent. you have to sign, give your finger impressions yourself which means you have to go through all the procedure yourself. what is an agent going to do for you? the passport will be with you in exact time.

One thing I would love to know is how do people with fame or people with power get their passports and other documents. Surely, they don't get those docs the way normal people do.

There must be a another system for them. Kind of a back door.

Think about it, on average we have to spend around 5 hours for a passport; have you ever seen a celebrity (of high fame), a politician, a cricket player (high fAME), or high rank government official?

The same can be said about Nadra. Last week I had to wait in queue at DHa Lahore Nadra Executive center for around 3 hours (twice in a week). Again the above mentioned people can't/won't go through that.

MRP headquarters Islamabad has an executive block for politicians and other such people. There must be one in Lahore and other cities as well.

I got my passport processed there in 2008. There are no lines and no wait.
