Salam!
I've noticed that some fuel stations charge 1-3% of total amount of fuel purchased if you want to pay using a Debit or Credit card. Is that legal? Most of the times owner is not available and I feel that the workers do what they want.
I usually purchase my fuel from Shell at Jaranwala road, Faisalabad. It is opposite Total petrol pump. Total charges 2% of amount and Shell charges nothing.
So say I refueled for 4500-/ Rupees at Total pump, I would have to pay 90-/ Rupees extra for them walking to the Card machine and type a few digits, print a receipt and use their pen to sign the merchant copy, while Shell which is literally 50 Ft away wouldn't charge me anything.
The Total pump in Millat Chowk, Gulistan Colony, Faisalabad charged 3%
What's your experience? What a way to rip-off customers!
