Payorder under third party name?

Aoa Pakwheelers,

I recently decided upon and paid token for a car.. fast forward 3 days, the person i.e. the car owner (third party) whose actually the title holder isn’t in Pakistan.. the seller says:

• no problem, i can sign for him, and we may make an affidavit regarding this

• also, issue the Payorder under my name, not the third party, thats no issue aswell

Note that he has all the original documents, smart card, booklet, import files and others… so paperwork seems to be complete.

I think transfer without original owner sign is possible through sale deed or something, but Payorder thing is very fishy

this is Karachi, Sindh we are discussing. Pls guide if this is normal, as the transaction is over 5 million PKR..

You already know something's not right with this deal. Why take the risk. Excise transfer cannot be done without biometric of owner.

I personally wouldn’t do it.
And make pay order only on the car owners name. Plus have his active biometrics if it is required in sindh.

But dealers etc usually don’t follow this as they never transfer the car on their own name.

But regardless if it were me I wouldn’t do it as all my txns are clear .

I have backed off from the deal. It had only been three days, yet he refuses to return the token. either way. saved me a boat load of money by not engaging further.

these transactions may be conducted if the party is friend/relative, not with unknowns.

For Sindh, Seller biometrics hasn't been made mandatory yet. On purchaser biometrics are mandatory uptill now.

Such cases are of double transfer, You should tell the seller to transfer the car and take money. Instead of P/O cash deal in bank can be done.
