Salam folks,

the electrician working at my new home suggests that I install 16A breakers for AC's rated between 1.5t and 2.0t. However I feel that a 20A breaker would do best. What do you suggest?

Here is the total list of electronics that will be installed at the place:

1.5T AC's x 8
2.0T AC's x 3
Refrigerators x 2
Chest Freezer x 1
Water pumps x 2
Washing Machine x 1
Iron x 2

I'll be using separate 10A breakers for lights and fans in each room.

Please suggest how many Amps should each breaker be in order to support the items listed above individually. Suggest away any good brands too.

The electrician also asked me to get cable wires of sizes 3-0.29 and 7-0.29 for wiring the house. He specifically mentioned Pakistan Cables or Eagle. Please suggest the best ones you have heard of or had experience with.

Bro,To calculate this add all the current ratings of Appliances in each Parallel Circuit it is very simple. Almost all of the appliances including motors, bulbs, tubelights etc have the maximum current ratings displayed somewhere on its body. Leave a safe margin for the CBs. I could not suggest any brand but there is lots of online material to calculate the copper thickness to avoid wires heating up and to reduce the risk of fire..

If I give separate breakers for each item would I still have problems?
For example, on Floor A, I have the following configuration:

Bedrooms x 2
Living Room x 1
Dining Room x 1
Drawing Room x 1
Kitchen x 1
Water pump x 2

I'm planning to install 1.5 ton Ac's in the the 2 bedrooms, 2.ton Ac's in the drawing and living room, a 1.0 ton Ac in the dining room and one fridge and microwave in the kitchen, so should the breakers be like:

3 x 20A (2 x 1.5T and 1 x 1T)
2 x 30A (2 x 2 T)

How much [power should the breaker be for kitchen and the two water pumps?

Am I missing anything?

I was thinking a 100A or 50A circuit breaker for each distribution panel. Also how much should be the thickness of the wires for AC's etc.?

A 5.3KW or 1.5 Ton AC will draw almost 24Amp current. If you have an Ampere Meter connect it in series with the live to find out the exact rating.
So 30 amp fuse/circuit breaker would suffice. Go for good quality CBs or use simple fuse wire. A 6mm squared cross-section of good quality copper wire will do the job. The 6amp margin is there as the starting current would be bit higher than the normal op. And this is for just 1ac. See attached picture(courtesy of wiki). Investment in good size wire will recover itself as the losses in lower area wire will be higher and more fuel bill along its life cycle.
