well after reading this thread.. i am of the view that most of the people are in favour of Dunhill desire.. I actually have it in my collection for a very long time, and i rarely used it... since it occurs to me that it makes me smell like a smoker! lol..

well actually i m kinda far away from smoking thngy..

Anyway i was never able to find the right perfume; i mean not exactly like the one in perfume movie [:p],, BUT i have found an after shave which actually is the best for me;

2. Gillette cool wave [My old one]

Bro the main difference is that, in case of replicas, the perfume smell actually combines with the smell of the sweat and a different mixed smell appears after sometime..

Guyz wen i went to muree i saw like a table filled with these colognes and stuff, i found a Calvin Klein Obsession there and out ov curiousity asked the price and for sum reason bought it he waz asking 600rs i got it and compared it to the one i had back home which was indeed original, both were exactly the same no difference at all, i guess maybe this stuff is smugged too or something

i got Boss Soul Cologne as a gift frm sum1 really special and i loveeee her, i mean IT

People help me with buying the new perfume, i have used RSVP from kenneth cole, 360 from Perry ellis, portfolio from perry ellis, Boss from Hugo Boss, Farenhiet.

Which one should i get now?

You should visit a perfume shop and let the sales person help you.. with perfumes, descriptions can't really explain what the scent would be like.

However I would recommend Issey Miyake, Hugo Boss Dark Blue, Armani Aqua Di Gio.. These are fresh scents mostly, if you want to go for more earthy, strong fragrances you can check out Dunhill Desire, Azzaro Visit and 1 Million..

What is a re-filled perfume? Like, what's the difference b/w an original, re-filled, fake and replicas? Please explain, I like to collect perfumes but have a very little knowledge...

at times they smell like original but aren't exactly when you compare the two side by side. those guys walking around with bags over their shoulders claim everything is genuine and almost make you believe them. they claim it to be imported or that caught by the customs at the port. reality is they are all refilled and THAT has a thin difference. haan. some don't even last long. i myself dived into this business but when people began complaining, i stopped and refunded their amount. caused me a loss ov over Rs. 17000!

And what are testers? Some shopkeepers say that they are selling testers, what's that? Should there "Tester" written on the bottle? Are those legit?

If you have a keen sense of smell and experience with perfumes, you can pretty much tell straight away if a perfume is fake or real.

Testers are meant to be in perfume shops and malls etc for people to TEST.. Hence the term tester :p.. As you would expect, they are sold at cheaper prices.. and they wouldn't have the original box or cap of the bottle and original testers mostly have tester written on them.. My friend once told me that the difference is that a tester's fragrance won't last more than 3 or so hours.. Though i've used them several times and they seem to work pretty okay.

the appearance of the bottle should give away a bit, first and foremost. secondly, the fragrance. but if it matches the original and you're happy, go for it.

testers are given free of cost to shopkeepers in countries other than Pakistan in order to get consumer feedback. here, everything comes with a price tag so even these little 'businessmen' rob you by selling those. they are supposed to be original, just not for sale. in other words, you can say they are concept/replica cars for sale.
