I am too afraid of losing factory warranties on the Pak Suzuki dinkies, that's why not risking change of oil grade.

The only problem is that the owners manual that comes with WagonR mentions the use of 0-20 on outside last page of the owners manual.

Where as no such thing is mentioned on the local assembled suzuki Altos owners manual.

In case you want to pour 0w20, there's no such
warranty problem
Ask guy for paksuzuki circular
0w20 is mentioned for wagonr and cultus
You can pour and claim warranty anywhere anytime

0w20 is in paksuzuki recommendation, also recommended grade for celerio and wagonr both is 0w20 on 1st priority, then 5w30 So incase anyone is pouring suzuki geniune 0w20 fully synthetic, there will be no warranty issues Yeah incase of alto, yes because Paksuzuki engineers were on high weed and they didn't go with actual recommended oil, which is 0w20 and they recommended 10w40 for R06a hence warranty is void if anyone is pouring 5w30 or 0w20 Paksuzuki February 2020 Circular [image] Btw if…

One can choose any oil mentioned in this circular for his car, there will be no warranty issues then

Even if u get oil changes from dealerships, go outside and put your own oil they have no mechanism to cross check you.

I remember in early days I could take my own oil and tell dealerships to use my preferred oil. Now everything is branding branding

So my concern is if they can mention 0w20 for Cultus and WagonR why wouldn't they recommend the same for Alto. 0W20 is probably the most expensive oil on Suzuki's oil line up. Why would they be bothered even if it messes your engine.

I will probably shift to 10-30 on WagonR from next oil changes. Its driven 49200 today. I dont feel the need to use 0-20 since it's not saving any fuel

No need to shift to higher viscosity
It will be best for K10b

Yes, for sure
shifting to 5w40 will provide better protection on cold starts, as major wear and tear occurs on cold start, lower viscosity oil will surely perform better and will enhance life of engine
And during normal engine operating Temperatures, 5w40 will provide same protection as 10w40 and also Xw40 oil is recommended so no worries

Update on Car AC Performance of Alto

As the summers are here and the temperatures have started touching mark of 38 - 40 Degree Celsius in Karachi along with the scorching sunlight, the test of the air-conditioning of Alto has started. In last week I had to travel a lot between 11am to 4pm on daily basis in city.

With two people in the car and the car running above 30 kph - the AC performance is good. But if you are waiting in the car for someone during the afternoon time and the car is idling with AC on, you better keep a good towel or big tissue box to wipe the sweat from your face.

I my self am planning to tint the Alto door only for this purpose. Let's see will work out after lock down is over
