I was very happy to see your Perth to Sydney post. It has been a while since I have used this old account, I stopped using it since 2008, and very rarely use it.
Nice pictures thru out. I have gone thru all of them. I had similar experience of moving, to different states, its all fun. America and Australia are very similar, except for Cricket. There is not cricket here. In terms of Western culture, almost all Western culture, people do their own things with their own hands and take pride in doing it, and that is one of the reason they are so successful.
They keep their streets, neighborhoods, cities very clean and orderly. Obey all the laws, like you said, going just 5 MPH over the limit is frowned upon. You get so used to obeying the laws, that you always stop on the stop signs, and of course traffic lights, even if it is 2 am at night, and no cops or any traffic in sight. Even in the middle of the deserted highway, you will get in habit of stopping at a red Stop Sign. I wish we had same kind of system and respect for laws specially traffic laws back home in Pakistan.
I have lived out of Pakistan for 25 years now, but my heart still beats for well being of Pakistan. On Pakistan's Independence day, August 14th, the Expats here hold special Pakistan Day Parade in New York, and also in many cities indoor Pakistan Day festivities.
Masha-Allah you have cute kids. I also have a 2 year old Son. They grow so fast and remind us of our bygone carefree days. My Son Ibrahim.
