taking left turn for Wirulla's town center...

while coming out again out of Wirulla, at the rail crossing we met these two blokes who had a volvo stationwagon with a blown tyre and offered assistance but they were cool... saw them previously at Nollarbor too, searching for a replacement tyre while I was searching one for me too... they were struggling to find appropriate tyre at every stop, even they couldn't find one at Nandroo SA where there was a huge stock unlike Nollarbor..... I could feel their struggle coz they had to drive the car with a spacesaver spare and can't exceed 50 or maybe 80km/h....

moral of the story... never take long routes with an out of market, less popular car and/or with special type of tyres and wheels... AND, to hell with spacesaver tyres...

ok, reason for the stop.. interesting...

my youngest son won't go for dunny (bathroom) in the car.. even if he has his pamper on... you've to stop, let him walk around, play and then shout "Pishi Pishi" running to bathroom, stand there while wearing pamper and doing the stuff... if he needs to do this, we have to stop else he will be shouting at us to "ssstoph" .... this way we used to spend atleast half an hour at places we never intended to stop

oh, and no we didn't had a pitstop... no fuel and no food since things were closed at 5PM...

in order to refuel, we went in to the town center to find there was nothing.... went out and just at exit towards Kyancutta SA there were 2x 24 hours road houses.. oh and literally there were no "cutta"s at the spot...

in previous pix you can see a road train... we thought we will follow him in case there might be jumping kangroos around... .... well he was fast....

we had some catching up to do....

most of the part I had to struggle at 2700rpm for 110km/h due to ups and downs.. but straight plains helps in keeping at low revs to conserve fuel while keeping up with the road train

Excellent journey, Salarzae Bhai. Australia has only 20 Million people (about as much population as Karachi) and its a whole separate continent. How far apart are their rest areas stops. In US, you normally find one around once 15 or 20 miles on long stretches of freeways and more often in heavily populated areas.
