It just reminded me of my vacations to Melbourne in November of 2014, I did a road trip from Philip Island to Port Fairy and back on the Great Ocean road. It was one of the most amazing trips of my life even better than the Highway 1 California.

Hope to visit Australia again soon.

Infact I should take some pictures when Im going somewhere - problem is that Texas is huge and is exactly the same everywhere.

On a lighter note - from a time gone by, I have tons of pictures of our family doing such activities in the southern hemisphere of Africa - your kid was jumping around, imagine our delight when we saw thousands upon thousands of mango trees with ripe fruit growing wild on the side of the highways.

My father was having a hard time explaining to the local police why his two sons went into monkey crazy mode on wild fruit.

Unfortunately for us, we were traveling quite off season but the kids had a blast. They would wait for the next stop to play and run around in new places. At head of bight even my youngest murmured 'Wow'. They would also wait for hours to reach a new hotel/motel, it was fun for them too. Alhamdullilah, they never gave us hard time, were always playing, chatting, fighting, shouting and we had to pretend that we are enjoying

It would be interesting to see your narrations too, spare some time for us folks

When were kids, we frequently took Lahore~Malakand trips, every 3 months on average, which were 10 hours trip as there was no motorway. We loved those trips, we always urged our father to race with the next car. Normally we would travel by night during summer and by day in winter. Aaahhh.. memories.... so much to share but not much time ..

Anyway, alot of friends tried to stop me and would go bonkers when I used to tell them that everyday I'll drive atleast 10~12 hours. My reply was always simple, its a chance and trip of a lifetime and that my kids will be proud when they grow up and say they've been there, done that. I'd do it again and again and again... Insha Allah.... we have plans to have a camper in next vacations to do a lap of Australia...

The next lap was very interesting. I wish we had traveled before the harvest but nonetheless, the views were spectacular...

Initially I wanted to do the ferry trip with car loaded from Whyalla SA to Port Pirie SA but missed the opportunity due to a GPS hiccup. It happened later too when were directed to Adelaide instead of Renmark SA but this time I beat'em up (GPS) and took the right turn

and then the ups and downs of a beautiful valley starts.... reminded me of my village which is similarly landscaped...

the huge pipe is irrigation system unlike ours where we have rivers and canals to irrigate fields...
