no you can not travel with an adult dog in passenger cabin. However you can book it along in cargo carriage over the same train. properly leashed, put food & water near him.
My pet DOG 2 years old travelled once from RWP to KHI in Khyber Mail. the same way about 5 years ago. Had to reach station about an hour ahead of train departure time to complete cargo proceeding.
only pups, kittens & adult cats can travel in "portable kennel" onboard passenger train cabin.
