Petrol mileage of Suzuki Swift Automatic Only

Dear Friends,

Thanking in advance to all members here advising us not so car sauvy people.

I am interested in buying a new Suzuki Swift Automatic. It is presently available at showrooms for immediate delivery.

As per showroom, reason for immediate delivery is filer / non filer laws - no own (aun) in this model.

Can someone please tell me what is the average petrol consumption (KM / Liter) for this car. Please consider long term i.e. after the initial 5,000 KMs and more than 25, 000 KMs onwards. I understand driving style also matters, but excluding that, what is possibly the median response. Feedback is welcomed from EX SWIFT owners (preferably Automatic).

Bro, I won't advise to go for Swift Automatic. Its an almost 15 years old model and gas guzzler, plus registration charges and token etc. fall in Honda City category.

On the contrary, Suzuki Celerio / Cultus would be a wise decision. Price of Cultus AGS is comparable to Swift AT, but Celerio is extremely fuel efficient, with decent build quality and latest model car with latest engine and tech. Token, registration charges also fall below 1000 cc category. So overall, a win-win situation IMO.

Suzuki Swift is 1000 times better than Suzuki Celerio

In Celerio front passengers shoulders touches each other on uneven road.

You cannot put two cups in front cup holders ,dont know who designed thoes

Swift on other hand is very spacious , great acceleration and and has android player and back view camera pre-installed

My cousin owned swift 12 auto for 2 yrs.....he is fond of hard acceleration whch is why he bought it....he got 8/9 km per ltr avg

I also drove that for 2 months and i am extremely light footed....i got 11 max

bro auto swift 17 model, giving 7.5-8.5 km/L, in lahore, with ac,, without ac u can expect 9..

7.5 or 8.5 is pretty low.

If it was also 10, then it made sense. I like this car's shape, it is ideal for Karachi (or congested traffic) while maintaining driver's comfort. The new Cultus / Celerio build quality is not very impressive.

Other bros please also share input, especially those who ditched this car.

Yesterday, I called up a couple of gentlemen, selling Swift Auto on Pakwheels (outside of Karachi).

I asked them about the mileage clear stating that I do not intend to purchase their vehicle.

The average response was 11 - 12 KM (cities were ISL, ISL (again), Kallar Seda, two others (Can't recall).

In KHI, as per showroom (it is 8 in city, 9 - 10 on highway).
Another showroom - 11 in city / 12 on highway.

So it is perplexing, what is the possible mileage (variation is too high).

In our company, mileage of a car is calculated by totaling the KMs done in a month; divided by the total liters of petrol.

Whereas on Pak wheels, mostly mileage is calculated on tank full till empty or some other subjective measure.

Maybe this is the reason of variation.

But agar month ki calculate kren ge to that's understood kam ho gi
And that monthly will be a more precise figure
Btw agar unn ki actually 11-12 krti h to bari baat h

Ek manual 10 model
(According to monthly calculation)
Auto ki mostly 7.5 se 8.5-9 nikalti h
Auto manual 10-11 km/L
And remember yeh cars kafi heavy traffic mein drive hoti hain morning mein
Almost 30 mins+ bumper to bumper heavy jams mein daily..

So let say in slightly better traffic Swift Auto at its best, can do 10 max.

This makes comparison factual.

With average monthly running of 1500 KMs (some cases). 150 Liters of petrol will be required.

Any car doing 11 will be saving 14 Liter per month. If petrol is taken at Rs. 93/- Then saving will be Rs. 1,268/- per month or Rs. 15,218 annually.

Conclusion

If someone's average KMs per month are 1500 (18,000 per year).
If they are happy with additional 14 Liters (Rs. 1,268) per month. Swift is OK for them. (Let's say City Automatic giving 11 KM/L).

But if you are doing 5,000 KMs per month (60,000 KMs per year). Probably CAREEM or UBER. Then Swift auto is quite expensive. As your per month additional cost will Rs. 4,227/- per month or Rs. 50,727/- per year. Total Cost in this case will Rs. 46,500 per month.

But does someone really drives that much?

Yes why not, only problem is, you have to search more for a maintained and low mileage auto city in this price bracket
Hectic job but in auto category, city 1.5 is good, aspire ho jae to kia baat h..
Sath sath koi 1.6 Gli search krne ki koshish kren, personally if I had to go for one, it will be 1.6 gli..

to me only because of three reasons. first non-filters are out.. secondly consecutive price increase, third, airbags.. because still airbags are not offered in a car worth 2+ million,, so mostly customers think that city doesn't deserve to be bought as a 0 meter new car..

I bought swift automatic a month ago, average is around 14-15 without ac, with ac it will be around 11-12 I guess.
It’s a great car and more over there is no comparison with city 1.3 auto (simple). I wanted to buy city as well but it’s an old model, no alloy rims, no lcd or back camera.

Where as auto swift is top of the line car with all accessories.

On the ags, first you won’t get ags on immediate delivery , secondly why waste 16.5 lac on cultus, it’s not worh it.

If you have this kind of budget go for city 1.5 top of the line version , in lower versions Honda is looting us.
