Petrol Smell inside car

Hi, PW members......
when i enter in car i feel lot of petrol smell inside cabin...... may be i hv addict for this smell .... lol
but yesterday my friends make fun of my car,,,,, before most of passenger told me but i ignore..... now i am worry about smell i not found any petrol leakage inside & outside of car..... but whenever i open the car's door and switching self i feel smell.....now, using air fresheners lol......
need ur help......

same thing with me as well, but it vanished automatically. not sure why it came in first place.

There may be some leakage near the fuel tank where the plastic pipes are attached with fuel tank metal pipe.

which car is it??
check fuel lines, pipes, fuel pump, fuel filter for leakage..

it is there in my mehran aswell went to central motors he said carb was leaking(it was visible) as one of the screws holding it was loose he took it out and replaced it and i was charged 500 for this
as one would expect in this country apparently full of talent and an engineer under every rock and old carpets my problem persists

yup bro! i hv mehran car...... smell smell or smell............ from rear seat side.......

today , i will check attached pipe from fuel tank cap towards tank...... further, pipelines check up will be done in workshop.....

ofcourse! smell disappear after 1/2 km drive..... but not sure its disappear or not .... bcuz my nervous hv addicted

Sorry poster I hope you dont mind if I post my issue as well as it is also regarding petrol smell.
I have also started facing this problem with the Cultus 2012 model, but this happens only when i top up the fuel tank till the auto stop. If someone guide what could be the issue I will be thankful.

bhai ek petrol ka overflow pipe hota he jo k bonut k neeche hota he.. confirm that it is outside the car and NOT inside.

@shari99 exactly, u r ri8..... i top up my car's fuel tank.... helaaa helaaa k full krvta ho...... lol
@nabeelkhan yes i see overflow small 2 hole b/w Tank Cap and main pipe, where we insert petrol nozzle while fueling.... i think, u r talking abt these overflow hole...... bcuz while fueling petrol jump up from car and it drain in to overflow pipe ..........
i think, i hv almost solve this problem...... U really make my day......

Has you problem been solved? I once had this issue, I started to feel petrol smell inside cabin. I checked engine bay, it was clear. I checked under seat (as my civic's fuel pump is there), nothing there too. I could not figure it out. After 7-8 days when I went for refueling, I found out that the fuel cap was not tightened properly. After refill, I got it tightened properly and the issue was solved.

Do check you fuel cap for leaks.

yup i think, u r ri8..... i will change my fuel cap..... may be just change rubber ring (washaal) inside cap will solve this problem

well I have same problem with my Mehran. I changed the cap. Now it's OK.
Washaal change is also good idea.

Yes my friend, sorry for a stern comment but I know some one who got burned and had to jump off a moving vehicle to save him self. The cabin lit up with fire because they had kept a petrol bottle in the cabim and connected it to carb and were running vehicle like this. I hope the smell is not because there is petrol inside the cabin, please check that thoroughly. The carb is very near to the firewall. If the rubber plugs in the firewall are not in place any leaking fuel near the carb area can come inside the cabin.
