Petrol Smell when starting car

Guys my mehran emits a strong petrol smell when i start it on petrol and driving for a few minutes on petrol . It goes away when i am using cng . What pipes i need to check to see where the leak might be ??

there should be any leak coz if there was, you would smell it all the time. How long does the smell last for.??? Coz my mehran is on petrol as well and when I start the cold engine, it does gives out a strong fumes of burnt petrol, but then it gets alrite.

You can smell petrol inside the cabin? Probably have some engine issue...get it tuned, perhaps even check out the fuel filter/pump.
Also, can you specify which model Mehran it is and with how many kms

1st Check The Cap Of Petrol Tank
2nd Check for some Leakege From Piping
3rd Check the fuel pump connection
4th Get it tuned by a good mechenic

I have this problem long time but that was my Loose Petrol Tank Cap. I tightend the cap and the problem disappeared.

start it up ,get out of your car and check if its coming from exhaust

Open the bonnett and inspect the fuel line. Also check check the petrol tank.

well its obvious that if it would have been a leakage the smell should be felt all the time...but since its just in the early phase of startup it may be due to unburnt fuel due to weak current,tunning issues,valves rings even..
