Well here I have seen most ppl still prefer for more features especially from JDM crossovers like new Vezel or CH-R but those r costing a lot now due to rupees devaluation. Lucky Motor are targeting those customers who prefer more options over size.
Anyhow Peugeot 3008 is also in pipeline and will be coming in mid 2022.

I think Stonic won't sell much like Sportage, it's too small basically it's lifted hatchback. Lucky Motor should have brought KIA Seltos instead.

for now only crossovers/CSUVs. I hope Lucky Motor do some research n check their cars fleet as they can give tough competition to local competitors in small hatchback mkt as well.

Have booked x70... Might shift to it depending upon launch/ availability and physical looks...
I know its a downgrade from x70 but if they offer feature packed top tim at around 4.8~5 million i might consider it...
(Price of x70 may go upwards of 5.7mill when ckd is ready for delivery considering pkr-$ and taxes)

Just like Lucky having both Kia and Peugeot under its belt. Coincidence?

CKD kits are from Spain and some smaller parts like plastic abs fibre parts are from China. Nothing from Malaysia yet.

I see. If I'm not mistaken, that's also where UK gets its RHD units from.

Although there is a case to be made for getting them through Malaysia. In this Indonesian article they say:

"The first model available is the refreshed 5008 for the 2022 model year....if there was one thing that impressed us (aside from its looks and features), it would be its price tag. When we reviewed the pre-facelift 5008 back in 2019, it retailed for PHP 3.190 million. The high price tag was due to the fact that it came all the way from France. Today, the 5008 now only sells for PHP 2.260 million.....How was Peugeot able to cut down its price? Instead of getting cars from France, the automaker is now sourcing cars much closer to the Philippines, Malaysia.....Currently, the factory builds three Peugeot models, the 5008, 3008, and 2008."

I think maybe by next year Lucky motor will be able to source out ckd parts from Malaysia and other Asian countries, for now they (LUCKY Group) are setting up their own plant to make car parts it in Pakistan. I don't know if these are for KIA vehicles only.

Peugeot 2008 launched in Malaysia.

Only one trim, Allure, is offered and it is priced at 127k Ringgit (53.6 lac PKR).
For comparison, it is more expensive than Corolla Cross (123k) and new Civic (126k). In fact, Malaysia's own Proton X70 starts from just 95k ringgit so I don't think 2008 will be attracting many customers.

Seems like a flop in advance in Pakistan. Sportage will remain a much better option.

it is made for niche mkt, like customers who prefer JDM quality like Vezel and CH-R with many features. If u going to import new Vezel or CH-R it will cost 6-8m now.
