Did anyone spot the almost completed Peugeot showroom next to Kia Macca ? I feel as if it's the first one, do correct me on this also any idea when the 2008, 3008 and 5008 launching ?

Showroom is like 90% done, i cannot say it is ready...2008 is planned for the end of Jan... not sure if there is any delay.

Your point make sense.. even size wise, 2008 competes with vezel and chr. New vezel shape is odd... Any idea about testing of 2008 on the regular fuel or will it require premium fuel only?

Yes its own by same owner of KIA Macca motor, for now Peugeot 2008 is going to launch.

They were testing CBU model on regular super Euro 5 fuel.

as per rumors , the 2008 is now [ after the mini budget] expected to be priced between 5 and 5.5 million. Again this is just an unofficial news circulating.

Any particular reason why 2008's prices might increase when City base model's price has remain unchanged even though both have 1.2 engines?

As far as I know there is now a 2.5% FED on all models under 1300cc. Atlas didn't increase the price of their 1.2L City, that I am not sure but all Suzuki models saw a jump in price after 2.5% FED.

2008 possible launch in next couple of days and expected around Jan 28.

According to this excerpt from an article about prices getting reduced, 1001-1999cc cars already had 2.5% fed.

So mini budget hasn't increased fed for 1001-1299cc cars, it only clubbed all cars up to 1300cc together with 2.5% fed. That's why suzuki cars got a price hike.

Maybe some other tax/duty has been increased but that doesn't explain why city 1.2 still costs the same.

Being Turbocharged or naturally aspirated has no bearing on how much a car gets taxed according to our laws. 1200cc is 1200cc.

FED or whatever, there is 2.5% tax.. which was not there earlier.

I think sales tax increased from 12.5 to 17% on vehicles upto 1000cc while FED implemented above 1000cc.. not sure

This is correct, that is why there is no price increase on city 1.2 variants. I think peugeot 2008 will be benefited by this comparatively. I wish this fed just end in the annual budget. Cars have become too costly.
