I booked Allure in white. Delivery within a week. It's no wonder a car like this is being shunned for being "French" and small in size. Almost 5 years ago, we had no option in PKDM other than Corolla, Civic and now all of a sudden it's about size, class, religion what-not.
If you call this car over-priced, then what do you call Civic, City, Stonic, Elantra, Oshan, Haval? Chinese cars are so good that they can demand Korean / Japanese level money? And City CIvic are so good that they can command price one level above their segment?
Bottom line is, we as customers are lakeer kay fakeer and anything slightly different from common direction is looked down upon. I'm not saying 2008 is fairly priced and it's the best car in the price range. On the contrary, it's the best example what customer power can do. No price increase despite everyone increasing their prices at-least twice (Price decrease for base variant); ready delivery and first 3 services free. Why? Because people refused to buy it for non-sense reasons but at-least they refused. If we had done the same with new-7-year-old city, Elantra, Oshan, maybe auto-makers would have had some sense nailed into them. But, if I don't buy Civic right now for 6.5 million how will I prove may tay Honda hi lai san? That's the sick mentality of our nation. We have nobody to blame but ourselves.
This rant is not targeted at anyone in specific, but everyone in general.
